There’s never a dull moment and today is no exception. We found this approx.4 week old sweetheart on the road outside of the rescue. We think perhaps he fell from a hay bale that was being moved, or, worse, he was dumped.
Luckily we found him quickly, especially given how hot it was today, and he has a full tummy, had a lovely flea bath and is now snuggled up and asleep. His weight is good and after some hydration and food, he was telling us his woes and purring away.

Please welcome our two newest rescues; these two sweeties are a male and female pups, who were born two springs ago.
The male is the red and the female is the grey.
They will be transferred to Foxes Journey Sanctuary in the next few weeks.

First up is Atlas!
Atlas is coming up on 6 months old and is a permanent resident at SAF. His colour morph is called ‘Seal’. His parents are Phoebe and Xander, who were recently adopted by an education centre in California. We raised Atlas and his siblings by hand from 4 weeks old. Meet Archie!
Archie is an 8 year old blue Arctic Fox, who came to us from another 501c3 animal rescue, who, after caring for him for 18 months, decided he needed to be with other foxes.
Archie is so incredibly sweet and we can’t wait to share more about him with you all!

As we shared in Sunday, Xander and Phoebe began their journey to California...and very quickly busted out of their transport cage and were just hanging out in the car!
When we tell you how smart the mink and foxes are here, we aren’t kidding! They’re safe in a new crate now but it was quite the shock for our volunteer when Phoebe popped up by his feet to say ‘hi!’

Today mink Xander and Phoebe (Atlas’ mum and dad) left for their new home in California at an education centre!
We’re going to miss them but it’s wonderful to see them go to their forever home - they were rescued from the fur farm as babies and have been here since they were a few weeks old.
Please join us in wishing them a safe journey and an amazing life in their forever home! ❤️
