Upcoming Characters & Status Update

Lopunny

My take on Lopunny, loosely based on Gammainks design which led to some... Artistic liberties, in both directions. I also made the original Yellow version, I think I actually like the light brown better, but it's not as fantastical.

Of course, how could I make a Loppunny card without doing the thing. You knew this was coming!

Forgot to post this Monday, sorry about that. The issues were simple to fix, a nice change of pace given how Smurfette is going. If I can't fix Smurfette's hair problems the next post will be Upcoming Characters.

Lopunny (Smurfette Delay)

Smurfette is being delayed, sorry to anyone who was looking forward to her. I'm sure there is some solution to her hair problem but it's eluding me. Her hair being semi-transparent is pretty cool though. Hoping I'll be able to recreate that effect.

So for now, I'll be releasing my version of Lopunny, based partially on Gammainks design. Since it's just a slight recolour I don't feel comfortable calling it a double release, but I'll be releasing both versions.

Smurfette Problems

One down, more to go, I think I'll be moving Smurfette back a bit. She looks complete in the Character Creator, but she needs some more work.

As I was putting Smurfette into scenes, I noticed that on this particular map she has some issues. The brown areas you see shouldn't exist as far as I can tell. Hopefully it's just a shader issue, and I can have her out soon.

As you can see in the preview, I decided to not change Tsuyu's Hero Outfit. Unlike Yaoyorozu and Ashido's Tsuyu's actual suit is purpose built, apparently she's weak to significant temperature changes. I did give her the Sexy version of her outfit, I think of it as her tropical/desert uniform.

LuSona (RGBSona)

I guess I have an RGBsona now. Are these supposed to be versions of ourselves as in persona, or our own personal RGB's? I suppose it doesn't matter, in this case LuSona is my take on RGB-chan. Like I said I built off of her goth-like outfit, so lots of black.

I Feel Like I can still push this ocean scene further, I'm just not sure what else to put in the water... Let me know which version of the ocean you prefer, I see the appeal of all three versions but I can't quite choose be...

We've been having trouble getting Gems used to the idea of "Underwear". The idea of wearing clothes, under their clothes, that no one can see, to cover up parts that are already covered, that no one else is supposed to see... It's just not computing. Unfortunately for us they do like swimsuits.

Apparently, her appearance is based on broccoli, a reoccurring inside joke in Inside Out. I designed her Club Activities outfit after movie directors, she's in charge of the drama department. And I decided to vaguely French with the clothing combination.

I tried making a new Hero Outfit for Yaoyorozu, it and the other outfits I made for her are meant to reference how comfortable she seems to be with her body.

As for her part time job, this time I went with Tutor/Professor, also gave her an outfit that fits another characters aesthetic, make of that what you will.

When designing this character I tried to make her body realistic and kid friendly, keeping in mind the origin of her game. I really liked the first movie, not sure how I feel about the second one or where it took the characters. That one meme is pretty good though, I think it still has a lot of potential.

After Bat Woman comes Bat-Woman, made this back in the day, shortly after her second hairstyle was added to Koikatsu.

I modeled her default hairstyle after the vampire from JSK. Looking at it makes me want to take another shot at making the character properly, maybe later.

I can always tell when I've loaded up one of my older characters 'cause they always have on that bunny suit/maid outfit combo I was so proud of. I still kinda like it, but it's a little much and I shouldn't ...

Duquesne Cathy (Batwoman)

An edit of Koaskatsu's card with a skin tone that more closely resembles her comic counterpart. I made various other updates to her hair, face, body, outfits, etc. I'm thinking of going with this format going forward, giving outfits showcase scenes and hopefully some context so I can better convey what I'm trying to accomplish with them.

Also sorry to say I couldn't quite figure out how to get her movie mask to work. It's got a Batman Beyond style mouth area that I really would like to ...

I realized I'd forgotten to detail Sans' jacket, it's not much but I like doing it.

I don't think I'll be making Blue Diamond any taller than this, she should be much taller though right? Like I think Disgust and Blue are the correct relative sizes in the show.

Ashido Mina (Adult)

This has been interesting, trying to make different outfits that could fit a character post time-skip. As many of you may know I've decided to make Ashido a dance instructor, part-time at least. The first outfit is meant to try and get that idea across, hope it works but I'm honestly not sure.

There is one notable failure in all of this, I noticed that in Ashido's final design she has fur on the bottom of her vest, possibly from her Winter Costume. I tried to cut a piece of a second car...
