bounty hunter! i still dont feel like im even close to finish with this character lol, still havent even figured out a name, but i wanted to get yall something still! ive got some extra exploratory sketches, one of her as more of a hacker type and the other more of like a rough kind of soccer mom type. just cant pin down anything really. im still happy with how she looks here but i may return to her again later!

i think this is close to the final on the bounty hunter, i might still play around with some more accessories and clothing but i feel like this is definitely the final body and hair design. i wanted something that captured the original sketches feeling, but a little softer. the extra sketch there was thinking about her as maybe a martial fighter but i felt like nothing about it said bounty hunter. this final version captures some of the attitude of the original but softens the whole thing up ...

hey yall, i finally got a good first sketch of the bounty hunter! this sketch was about getting the feel and i think a lot of stuff is already looking good here! im going to keep sketching around with it and do some paints. def don't have a name yet, but i do know that all of her weapons and stuff will be non lethal and she brings everyone in alive for the extra money.

finished up all the meg paintings for april (with special guest piper lol). the original theme was going to be megs crush on piper, but i had a couple of other sketches i liked and wanted to get them in as well. ill be starting the vote soon, yall check it out!

update on the side project

changed a whole lot from the last update. ive totally rebuilt the level, made new props and have decided to not use 3d characters. the decision to not use 3d for characters was based on a load of factors: i want a lot of characters and i would barely say im a novice at 3d so its incredibly slow, i cant make 3d nearly as expressive as my 2d work, i have been wanting to practice my 2d animation for years and this gives me an excuse, and finally it lets me spend more time on 3d props and decorat...

process for black rose paint

hey yall, i wanted to share this process cause its a little weird. here, i do the initial sketch like usual of course, then i select the colors and place them. next though, i convert the colors to black and white either by eyeing it or using a black and white filter if i feel like it looks right. then i do the black and white rough paint from there, and then take that original color and apply it over top as a color layer. after that i do the final paint like usual. it's really useful for extr...
