Dev Update #40

This week I actually ended up adding a feature I think many will appreciate. There is now a juke box on the main menu. This lists the songs, artists, and a link to their spotify link if it is available. You can also play all the music from there. Once back in game it will kick in with the proper music. So, it is only for previewing the music in game, which is what I wanted to setup.

Dev Update #39

Okay, full dev is now underway since the week before I had taken a couple days off. 

Now we are at 100 renders with 5 animations done and rendered off. Another I am not happy with and need to adjust, but will probably do that later tonight. One of these animations was big. Just doing the low quality test took 4 hours to render lol. In the end though after an almost 24 hour render time it looks pretty damn good.

Dev Update #38

So, most of you have chapter 6, I hope you enjoyed that one :) I also want to welcome all the new people that have arrived recently. Thank you for the support. It was really awesome to see!

Now, after I released I took a few days to myself but got back to it just recently so the numbers won't be awe inspiring :P There are a 30 renders and 2 animations in the bag, I have another 4 animations setup and primed to go which I'll run one each night for the next few days.

No idea how long it will last, hell, I very well may be under it by the time i finish writing this, but no matter, the fact we got this far is crazy.  A huge thanks to everyone who has believed in me and made this possible, it is hard to describe my appreciation for your guys support this whole time.

Okay, Victoria and Gloria are due for a custom render set but I can't decide on what they should wear or who it should be, but want to go with a period option this round. Each will have the same 3 options: Steampunk, Western Cowgirl, or Victorian era. 

Each tier above the $10 tier can vote in each of these. I will tally up the scores of all polls together to determine the winner.

Dev Update #37

This one will be quick, I know I say that and it ends up being pretty big, but here we go!

So, I have sent the initial build for proof, it is missing one scene that I am currently writing. Past that, a few tweaks here and there and a couple more renders then everything will be done. I plan to send it for beta testing either tomorrow or Monday night. After proofing and testing is complete I will release. I am hopeful for this upcoming weekend but let's make sure those guys have the time ...

Dev Update #36

Alright, after a couple weeks of not going 100% I think I am back to normal again. That was a bit odd for me, but going forward I am going to make sure I do take a bit more me time now and then. 90 to 100 hours a week between this and real life work for 2.5 years sorta crashed down hard, and I don't want that to happen again. Hopefully that is the end of that :P

Dev Update #35

Okay so this last week I did take it a bit easier than I had been going, so the numbers aren't as crazy as per usual. I still don't think I'm 100% but I'm getting close and way better than this time last week. Regardless though, the work that was done is really great, that also includes a new character as posted above. Not just a one off thing. Well I should say if up to you not a one off thing :P

Feb Custom Renders

Here we go! I went a bit nuts on the blue lol. This was inspired by the show Love Death & Robots with the episode Sonnies Edge. 

I have included the color and black and white though this is one of the rare occasions I feel the black and white is lacking only because of the body paint.

And yes, I made Ellen the focus. She hasn't gotten enough love on the custom renders.

Dev Update #34

Hey guys, I was hoping to release this month but at this point I can tell that won't happen. I have been going at it hard, probably too hard in the last month and my body is starting to get angry with me. So, I am going back to my normal flow that I normally do so I don't kill myself on it.

As for this week I did run into some issues outside of the game, that being real life work which hit pretty hard. At least everything for that is taken care of, but it certainly affected things. So, ...

This month we are going with two girls. Chandra again because I want to test her without the crazy makeup with Ellen who hasn't had a custom in a bit.

These 2 really represent the more punkish aspects of the game and with that I want to revel in it.

So here are our choices:

1. Both as cyberpunk assassins much like the render from a couple days ago.

2. Rocker chicks, this I can have a lot of fun with especially on the lighting front.

3. Biker chicks, not your Harl...

Year One Dev Update

That's right it has been a year since CoBD had it's first release. Time seems to be just flying by. Since then, things have grown a lot. It is all a bit overwhelming and thank you everyone new and old for your continued support. It is certainly one of the more odd games out so to speak from others, so the fact people have latched onto it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :)

Chapter 5 Catalog

Dev Update #32

Okay, my big secret scene is done and in the bag on all fronts, writing, animation and renders. Thank you for being patient on that one. Now its back to the normal schedule so expect more previews and such again.

I will upload the chapter 5 image catalog tomorrow for $20 and up tomorrow as well. It includes quite a few cut renders from last update so be on the lookout for that.

Now its been almost 2 months, about a week shy I think, but we are sitting at 599 renders with number 60...

New month! First poll is done and we will have a stripping sequence, I know there were complaints because of not knowing who the subject of the poll was. Next time I will make sure that is known, this time around though I just couldn't show who it is of because of spoilers. I want it to be a nice surprise.

I will preface that i kinda messed up. I thought i was rendering in 4k but that was only for the first one the rest are at 2560 by 1440 :| I didnt realize this till the last render was halfway through. Still they look great!

Okay, enough of that, here's what's up. Still progressing at a good pace, no hangups or anything of that sort. Sitting at 454 renders all done and processed through post, loads more to go. Dev Update #29

Okay, this week has been a render week. A lot done on that front. Multiple environments as well to add to the mix.  So now, we are up to 373, where 367 of those are now done and through post work. Been doing post work all day today for maybe the last 7 hours. I think I'm going bug eyed. I will say though, so far I am really happy with the look of everything. I found i hit a few snags on the last update where I ended up redoing scenes. Not this time.

Yeah, I know. Been a fair bit of Victoria lately :P Just what I have been working on. Expect that to change up next time though.

As for this week, besides real life work kicking me in the balls for a couple days things have still progressed well. The render above was the 275th render and still going at it tonight. I managed to get in a few animations as well bringing the total up to 21 and I have another that I need to redo since it was out of focus. Yes, just like on a camera :)
