Happy Saturday Evening, everyone! 

Sorting through a bunch of my old files this weekend, it occurs to me that for every finished piece I create, I have a shit ton of discarded, crappy sketches. But sometimes, even the most junky sketch can have some worth to it. 

So, here's a look at some of the discarded, unloved, unrefined, and just plain cruddy sketches I've cast aside.

Thought I'd bring you a little sneak peek at one of the pieces I'm working on for this month's rewards. It's LOBO from DC COMICS. 

Funny enough, I started this some time ago, and only just found it again in my files today. I'm looking forward to finishing up this bad boy for you guys!  I think he'll be pretty cool -- Lobo's always been one of my fave DC hunks!

Happy Hump Day! While you all wait for me to produce more of this month's all-new rewards, here's a quick shaded sketch of DEIMOS shooting a massive wad.

LOCUS in PERIL - Luminary Request - Inks!

What is it that I find so irresistibly sexy and sensual about him? MANY things, I'm sure (not the least of which are his heavy, low-hangers in this particular piece) but mainly, I just love how expressive the character can be. He's always a huge joy to draw.

LOCUS in PERIL - Luminary Request - Sketch!

Hello, Guys...

This month, Luminary Patron Cody Yinger requested that I draw LOCUS as the subject of his reward piece. He did ask that Locus be in some sort of peril, and NATURALLY, I was all too happy to oblige. 

And this is the resulting sketch... admittedly in its very rough first stages, but you get the idea. Locus seems to be entwined in some sentient circuitry that's intent on probing him! XD

DEVILMAN: demon slayer - Hardon!

The colors are done on DEVILMAN, (for a couple of versions, anyway!) and HOLY HELL did I ever have a freaking BLAST on this piece!!! 

I'm playing with fire here again, just like I did with Zahn, but with DEVILMAN, I wanted the flames and embers to feel more violent. 

As always, I worked with Hernan on the base colors, and I created the backdrop and fire special effects. The blazing, pulsating end result is something I'm really ...

So, the tricky thing about drawing DEVILMAN is that I wanted to do the character justice by capturing his essence, but I also wanted to be sure and give him that "Fillion flavor" you've come to expect from me. LOL! My own twist, if you will.

I have to say a great big THANK YOU to my awesome colorist HERNAN for literally bumping to this page to the front of his workload just so we could all enjoy it in January! PHEW! 

Meanwhile on a personal note, I'm rather pleased with Locus' big floppy/hard junk in the first panel. I love watching guys get fucked like this. Sorta amplifies the "toy" aspect of the bottom! HEH! HEH! HEH! XD

As promised, the inks for page 14 of LOVE LOST #2. 

Sort of how I never bother with CAMILI-CAT's stripes when I pencil, I rarely bother with Sektan spots -- especially when it comes to characters like BEEDAL! That man is SPOTTY! LOL! But of course, once I ink, I add all those little details that make the characters and the page cum together.
