Polystyrene Charm/Pin batch
I’m finally getting the hang of working with this medium, so thanks to my beautiful patrons for being my guinea pigs.
Terrible lighting aside, these are all getting their plastic treated before I apply resin, and then I need to seal the paint on the back with some polyurethane. This will brighten up the colors, turn the cloudy plastic transparent, and make these look more professional when I mount them on a keychain or a pin backing.
The gecko is for a patron, but the peridots...

Wanted to practice shaping and painting these things before I start doing some more complex shapes.
Some of these I’m going to coat with resin to sell, but the rest I’m keeping to use as stencils for future pins with the same shape.

Made a bunch of mistakes, but I feel like I learned a lot. Also, for what it’s worth, I feel like I learned a lot. Also, it’s nice to see what colored pencils work well with polystyrene. Hopefully I’ll end up making a better example soon.

If my recent posts weren’t enough to tip you off, I finally got the resources to buy some craft supplies to expand my inventory at the art show. While I’ll be doing a bunch of different designs, I’d also like to offer custom pins and keychains as raffle prizes and commissions. With that in mind, I’m going to need examples.

Got my polystyrene the other night, so I spent some time testing out different mediums and sealing styles.
Obviously, I used my clay pin designs to test it out, so they’re really small. They’re about 2cm long or less. Not sure what to do with them, but I may just sell them for a dollar or two at my table at my local art show.
Not sure why the lines on the frog bled so much. I can only assume it had to do with the way I sealed him.

Halloween Premade Character Designs
Aaaaand here they are! The next full set of colorful characters I'll be selling. As per usual, they start at $25, and I'll be figuring out autobuy prices tomorrow. I'm actually pretty proud of a few of these, so I really hope these designs find good homes.
As always, patrons have first dibs, so give me a heads up if you'd like to claim one of these lads before sales go live sometime tomorrow.

I'll be going to the art show again starting tomorrow, and may end up going on Saturday as well, depending on business. My plan is to start going twice to three times a week, depending on my workload, and will be going every other day during the last week of the month.
