Graphic: Russian Air Assault Company (VDV)

Graphic depicting the pure unreinforced Russian Air Assault Company, part of Separate Air Assault Brigades and Air Assault Regiments. This is based off of the doctrine provided in a VDV textbook.

As with most Russian units, the Company HQ has key staff personnel which are carried in vehicles provided by a separate Headquarters Squad (at higher echelons a signals unit). In this case, it includes a Company Commander, Deputy Company Commander, Deputy...

Update

Hi everyone, apologies for the delay in videos. I've been exceptionally distracted with all of the Ukraine War updates and making sure the Battle Order Discord server has sufficient moderator coverage. I am considering dropping what I was working on in terms of videos and doing some sort of Ukraine War map update to give people an idea of the big picture. Learning about the future US Army Armored Division just doesn't seem all that necessary right now.

But there is so much unverif...

Graphics: Future US Army Divisions (WayPoint 2028)

As part of research for a future video series, I made graphics depicting the proposed division organizations for the U.S. Army as part of WayPoint 2028. This is part of the Army's effort to refocus on division-centric large scale combat operations. The division types are the Joint Forcible Entry Division (Airborne and Air Assault), Light Division, Heavy Division, and Pene tration Division.

Graphic: US Army Ranger Squad (2019)

Graphic I made with the input from a guy who served in the 3rd Ranger Battalion as recent as 2019.

Organizationally, the Rangers are similar to normal light infantry up to the company-level with only minor modifications. For this reason, they could be considered the Army's most elite true infantry. What they differ in is their missionset, selection standards, deployment tempos, and budgets for gear and training. The Ranger specialize in missions like airfield seizures, direct acti...
