those familiar with my old comic A Javan Tiger (Tiger Tea is a kind of stand alone sequel) would note that old Lulu would never have acknowledged boundaries. she was kind of a horrible character then.

my first dulcimer i no longer play. i can't imagine the cost of repairs needed but would eventually like to have it professionally done. it was built by my grandpa from one of two kits ordered from an Earthways catalog sometime back in the 70s. the other lost somehow. Agi's dulcimer is based on the Earthways design but if i remember correctly round and hummingbird shaped soundholes as well as the classic hearts were also available.

the first in a little series of Dust & Crumbs comics based on the haiku of Kobayashi Issa from which my little cricket got his name. i liberally reworded them to fit certain moods but will include the original haiku with loose translation in the comments. i am no authority on Haiku or Kobayashisan and make no pretense. so i hope those more in the know will forgive my romp over sacred writ. 🙃 here's to a happier and better year than a few of the previous ones. 💜

the first time i stood up to a bully was in the fifth grade in class. i threw him across three desks. i was so livid that if the teacher hadn't been there i would have done a lot more. i count myself a peaceful person. but sometimes you have to fight back. 🙁 peace at the cost of complacency is hardly peaceful.
