The curtains that came with the Desert Luxe kit are everyone's new favourite build item, and for good reason. The neutrals they come in are great, and work in all types of rooms, but come on... they needed more swatches, right?
I've recoloured the curtains in Image Spectra and in my

Once owned by legendary entertainers Frank Simatra and Simmy Davis Jr, The Solar Flare was THE place to be. Sadly, times change, and a series of scandalous (and grizzly) stories saw the famous hotel and lounge fall into disrepair. New owners have tried to bring The Solar Flare back to its former glory, but it can't quite shake its dark reputation.

ThrifTea is actually two stores in one. On the left is the bubble tea shop, a cosy, intimate setting for good conversation and excellent beverages. On the right is the thrift store, a maximalist clutter heaven with everything your thrifty Sims need.
Above the bubble tea shop is a fully-featured apartment, and above the thrift store is an old, dusty storage space. The storage space isn't currently accessible, but you could put in a door between it and the apartment if you wanted to use i...

Lockers are great items for lots of builds, not just schools, and they deserve to come in many more colours!

This is my favourite of the stone/brick walls that came with High School Years. It already comes in the same colours as my Deco Revival palette, so I recoloured it in the 32 tones from Deco Revival Extended. They all mix and match really nicely with the original colours (in the screenshot above, the peach on the second storey is one of the original colours, and the other two are from t...

I wanted to put my Deco Revival palettes to good use, so I recoloured a bunch of walls and floors so we have more choice when building our art deco spaces (or for any other space, of course!). I added in the standalone wainscoting from the Decor to the Max kit, because it's such a useful item.
You can pick and choose what you want below. You'll need the corresponding pack for them to show up. The...

I was building an art deco building with the new build-buy items from High School Years and getting frustrated that there weren't more wall options that matched the window colours. I decided I had to make some myself (I do love my walls), and that meant creating a palette that matched.
Deco Revival has 12 swatches that match the colours on the High School Years windows, as well as walls like Hallway Stone. I'm recolouring and making lots of walls (and some floors, and maybe some more wi...

The lighting in the Copperdale world that came with High School Years has very harsh, black shadows at midday, as well as a strong teal-green tint to the overall lighting. I've made a MultiLUT shader that tries to make the shadows less intense, and also neutralises that green tint.
This ISN'T a full ReShade preset. It is one shader that you can use with any of your regular presets (ReShade 4 and above). If you place this MultiLUT shader ABOVE your other effects in the ...

Llama Noodle Park has everything you need - if what you need is a noodle bar and a park!
This lot is set as a park, but has everything you need for a restaurant. It also has a small living space, but that is just for show (to look nice through the windows from outside) and so some of it is inaccessible.
You can hire your own chef, caterer, and stall vendor so your sims can buy lovely food even if you don't have the lot set to a restaurant.

Taking a quick look at what items have come with the most recent packs since I've been away, there was one in particular I had to recolour.
The Truly Fearless Wainscoting is perfect for adding detail to all sorts of walls, and considering I've recoloured so many in Image Spectra and Dream Pop I needed these to match.
I'm going to be doing a lot of (mostly) cc-free building in the future, but you know I can't resist my walls and floors. I don't think I'll ever stop making them!

Thank you for your patience waiting for me to come back and update Shiftable Mirrors.
I've added the mirrors from Werewolves and Decor to the Max. I think those are the only packs since I've been gone to add new mirrors. If there have been any others, for example any that were added for free to the base game, please let me know.

I want to apologise for my quietness recently. I haven't lost interest in The Sims 4, nor in making cc, ReShade presets, or building. My PC has been getting more and more troublesome over a number of months now, and I think it is likely to fail completely sometime this year. I'm trying to do what I can to ward off that failure, which in part means not pushing it too hard too often.
One problem is that its repeated gpu crashes make it difficult for me to do a lot of the things I'd really...

Drift was made for one of my lovely Patreon subscribers. My starting point was a handful of sample pictures they gave me that had a muted, sepia, dreamlike feel. The brief was something more for taking screenshots than for everyday gameplay, which is always music to my ears. The result is Drift.
As with all of my recent presets, Drift's foundation is a series of LUTs that contain all the colour grading information. In practice, I only ever really stuck with one of them (02), but in the ...

Quite a few people are reporting problems with depth buffer effects like MXAO flickering on and off since the Neighbourhood Stories patch.
It hasn't affected me, so it's taking me some time to properly troubleshoot it, as I'm reliant on others testing lots of things in their games.
Two people so far have said that limiting their fps to 30 fixed it for them, but for many others that didn't work.
One thing I'd like people to test for me if they're having this problem is to go ...

Originally owned by Abigail Harrington and her husband, Samuel, the Salt Block was built at a time of great prosperity and glory. After Samuel's passing, Abigail had to sell off the building part by part, until only the corner basement apartment remained, which is where she still lives today. The rest of the building has been repurposed into a mixture of commercial and residential properties, and is a bustling hub for the people of the Spice District.

I love the simplicity of the wardrobe and hallway table that were created by peacemaker and added to the base game. I often want a wooden textured version, so set about making one! They come in my Dream Pop palette, as well as Image Spectra (Image Spectra has lots of lovely wood tones that go nicely with the wood texture). I also recoloured the plain version, because options are important!

I've reached a bit of a follower milestone on tumblr, and although I don't usually mark those kinds of things I thought this time I would do something a bit out of the ordinary for me -- some CAS cc!
I've recoloured all the nail shapes (except the special version by Ebonix) that currently come with both the base game and the Spa Day refresh, and also the toenails.
All come in the three palettes I use: 2021-09-30 17:03:06 +0000 UTC

I don't always take requests, but when I received one over at tumblr to recolour the floors from Journey to Batuu I couldn't resist -- first, because I love recolouring floors and walls because I'm strange like that, and second because they really are some of the best floors in the game and it's criminal they only come in 2 colours each.
They all come in Image Spectra and Dream Pop, and have custom specular maps that reduce the ridiculous shine of the originals (but don't get rid of it ...

It's been 5,000 years since I last recoloured a floor. I was unsatisfied with the range of wood tones in the Cottage Living wood floor. Thankfully, the Image Spectra palette has a nice range, plus a whole bunch of other beautiful colours too. And Dream Pop has the funky bright colours, because options are good.

My apologies for being quiet this past week. I rescued a stray cat who was sleeping rough on the car lot opposite my house, and she's been quite ill and required a lot of care. Someone contacted me to say that when using my Shadows for Days camera tweaks they had problems trying to take screenshots of Sims close up, because they'd disappear.
I think this is due to clipping distances that are set in the GraphicsRules.sgr file. I use edited clipping distances, so this wasn't a problem for me when I was creating the mod, and I missed it entirely.

I grew up watching BBC adaptations of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple and Poirot, and both hold a very special place in my heart. When Cottage Living was announced and I started seeing early footage I realised Finchwick was basically St Mary Mead, which is where Miss Marple lives.
A project was born!
The best Miss Marple is objectively (don't fight me) Joan Hickson. She lived in a cottage called Danemead, the exterior of which was filmed using Dane Cottage in Nether Wallop (yes, tha...
