Just Read all twelve issues of freedom fighters which started in 2019 and finished in 2020 (technically I need Mastermen issue 1 to complete it) and I really enjoyed it. Set on EarthX it was a strong tale of slavery, loss and finding something to fight for. There's some tricky characters to write because they often come off as cheesy and hallow, but uncle sam was funny, a little sad, huge in the end and the series handled him being a metaphysical being really well.
