Worst Invasion in the Bible

My biggest single animation to date is now complete and available to watch. Looking back, I was too stingy with the updates, but I’ve been very single-minded about getting this one done before the end of the year, working on it all day, every day, and some all-nighters too. I still have no idea how I was able to do it. Around 54,000 frames of animation in less than a month, by one person, is absurd. I’m not complaining though. I chose to do it, and I’m happy with it. I just hope it’s ...

An Update and a Question

Work on the animation of the Book of Joshua is coming along really well. Because I want to get it done before the end of the year, I've been working on it day and night. It seems I underestimated my ability, because I'm way ahead of schedule, having completed more than half of it. As you can see from the screencaps, so many different environments and characters had to be created and animated.

The question I had for you regards the title. This is such an important animation to me, so I ...

Biggest Animation Yet

I’m currently working on the biggest single animation I’ve ever done. I haven’t done an old-fashioned God & Jeffery bible video in 2 years, so this one will mark the comeback. It will cover Joshua 1-10. It’s going to be epic. It has 6 different voice actors who voiced 21 different scenes. I’m currently working hard to get it done hopefully this month. The scene you see here is when the Israelite spies sneak into Jericho, and literally everyone there immediately recognizes them a...

Epic New Bible Animation Coming

This one will probably end up being my longest yet. I'd rather not do it in parts like previous bible animations. I just finished the first draft of the 8 page script. I'm guessing it will be around a half hour of animation unless I can cut some things. I'm really excited for this one, because I haven't done a good old fashioned God & Jeffery bible animation in 2 years!

This one will cover Joshua 1-10, when the Israelites are finally allowed to come and take the land God promised th...

Intellectually Bankrupt

This is the result of the last script I posted. I changed the ending and tweaked a few lines here and there, but it's mostly the same. I was inspired to do this one because of all the same old presuppositional arguments I was getting from theists who just seemed to be mindlessly following a standard script. It seems disturbingly popular. So, I thought I'd try to find a way to show why those arguments don't follow in this video. As always, thank you so much for supporting my channel. I feel li...

Script for "Intellectually Bankrupt"

One of the most frustrating feelings is arguing with someone about religion, and then immediately recognizing that you're being put through the presuppositional script, and even after you tell them that you recognize it for what it is, they stick to the script like a robot. This video takes their script and removes it from the context of religion, so hopefully, they can recognize how bad it is. Currently animating this one.

Why You Shouldn't Put God and Freedom in Your Bio

This is an animated short about the conflicts between God, Freedom, and finding purpose in your life - all topics which theism gets very wrong (and yes I can't believe I caved and did the circle and the red arrow in the thumbnail; that was all God's doing, I swear!). I did take a bit of a break this month, hence the shorter animation, but I've already got another one in the works (addressing the rather annoying & arrogant apologetics of presuppositionalism). Thank you so much for continui...

Theism Logic

Atheists are often accused of not having a reason to value life, but the opposite is so, making this accusation one of theism's biggest inaccuracies. This belief is predicated on placing more value on the future than the present, because not existing in the future is often conflated with "amounting to nothing" or "not mattering" which is devaluing the present. In fact, having a finite life makes your time MORE valuable.

GOD & FREEDOM

These are the visual depictions of God & Freedom that will be used as slides in a debate in my next animation, which is all about...GOD & FREEDOM. So many times I've seen people tout those two things together, but I'd like to make a comedic short showing how they're actually diametrically opposed.

Existential Crisis

Over the years I have sometimes wondered if maybe I'm too harsh on religion, but after the last few years I've come to feel that I wasn't harsh enough. Just look at all the damage that has been done, the people who have been manipulated, and now millions of people are dead. "Yeah, but because of religion?" you ask? Yes. Atheists are the highest vaccinated group at 90%. Religion fosters a distrust in science and an irrational reliance on God to protect them, even as the stats fly in the face o...

How Culture Works

Just now went live! This one is a bit experimental, but it's something I've been wanting to express for a while. I hope you like it. There was only one update about this one, and I hope you don't mind that, but I honestly didn't know what to share regarding it. I'm sure I'll have more to say on patreon regarding future projects.

Trying something different

I went for a serious and realistic tone in my last animation, but for this one I want to do the exact opposite. I'm experimenting with styles. This one will have a comedic tone. It will require many characters who will all need to look the same (the simple cartoony style lends itself to this), because it's about how culture reacts to new differences that eventually become old norms and traditions. I'll probably title the animation "How Culture Works". My hope is that it will help people reali...

I'm trying something a bit different. It's a little allegory I wrote, and though it can apply to many things, I'm sure you can see how it relates to current times. Despite its relatively short plot, the intricacies of the visuals took a lot of work. I hope you like it. Please let me know what you think. My next video attempt will also be a bit experimental, but in the total opposite direction, being very comedic and with much more simplistic visuals.

Special Animated Short Incoming

I delayed the video I intended to do next because inspiration struck and I wrote a short allegory I would really like to make into an animation. The moral of the story is pretty much universal and doesn't have to apply to the religion debate, but I suppose it could. I'm trying for an ominous atmosphere. A lot of it takes place in the woods, so I've been building a forest. That's such a fun aspect of this. I build the world, like a set director, and then decide where to place the cameras.

God's Greatest Argument of All Time

This one is largely pretty silly, but I had a lot of fun making it and I hope you get a few laughs from it. Mostly, it stems from parts of my recent DarkAntics video about divine hiddenness. For the next video, I will have some far more serious things to say that I would really like to get off my chest, particularly about how it is alleged that we cannot have meaning and purpose without God. I’ve been seeing that misconception as doing more harm lately, and I want to make something that wil...

The True Nature of Our Universe

This is a short clip from my next animation depicting the rather disturbing truth about our universe. Sorry, everyone. That's just how it is, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Making Some Positive Changes

As you can see from the picture, God has been working hard on setting up his new office space for the next animation. Likewise, I've decided to get a bit more organized with how I run things. I have a lot of unanswered messages. That is because, basically, I'm an introvert. So, it's bizarre that I ended up with a large YouTube audience, but that was never planned. Still, I shouldn't let so many messages go unanswered. That's not fair to patrons. I've decided to answer all messages every Monda...

God's Greatest Argument of All Time

I'm currently working on a God & Jeffery cartoon that touches on the topic I recently addressed on my alt channel (see my previous post) about Divine Hiddenness. Since apparently God would rather try to convince us of His existence through people making and spreading inadequate arguments instead of simply showing up (like He used to do every other day in the Old Testament), God decides that He needs better arguments to prove He exists, so He enlists some...unusual help, and they develop *...

Why God Plays Hide & Seek

A video on my alt channel (DarkAntics) just went live. It's an hour+ long response to a video about divine hiddenness, which has to do with the arguments for why God plays hide and seek with us. I don't expect anyone to sit through it, but if you have a long drive, or are cleaning house or something, it might be worth listening to if you're interested in these theological debates.

I Think It Worked

I just finished creating my next video, and I think it worked out okay. If you read my previous post then you know I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it work, because the idea itself seemed challenging to me. Thanks for all your encouraging words. It really helps.

The video itself is tentatively called "5 Reasons To Rethink Jesus' Sacrifice", in which I narrate while doing a related time-elapsed drawing. At the end of the video, I reinterpret Christianity itself in a way that make...

A Difficult Project

Writing has been difficult this month. I don’t want to put out material when I’m uninspired, because it will show in the work. That’s the main reason I haven’t yet posted an update this month. The reason I am now, is because I think I finally have something worthwhile to work on, but it’s kind of risky, because it will take a lot of work that might not pay off in the end. It could turn out to be really beautiful and thoughtful, or a complete fumble. I’m going to try it. I should k...

Early Access for: Unleashed

Thanks, everyone, for your patience. I plan on releasing this video to everyone else on Friday, but supporters like you can watch it today if you wish. This is technically Power Corrupts Part 19, and it picks up after Yahweh was sentenced to life in prison for blasphemy.

The End?

I'm almost done with the next episode of Power Corrupts. It will be uploaded this week. The episode after this one will bring the end into sight. As that happens, I will concentrate more on the book version, which is naturally far more detailed. Since I write the animation scripts first, they help me outline the direction of the book.

The Rest of Power Corrupts

I apologize for not having many updates so far this month, but a lot of the animation I've been working on is dialogue and doesn't really translate well to screencaps. Now that I'm animating some more action, however, I've found that I can't share that either without spoiling it. So, instead I'll update you on the series as a whole. I finished outlining the rest of it. It looks like there will probably be four more episodes, including this one, for a total of 23. I'm not certain, because I co...

Working on Power Corrupts

It's been a while since the last episode of Power Corrupts. The series is getting much more difficult as it gets closer to the end, because I don't want to fumble it, and it is getting pretty close. I thought of making it twenty five episodes, but I won't force that if getting it to work that way affects the story. This will be episode nineteen.

If you recall, Jeffery and Lucy stripped Yahweh's powers from Him, and left him in prison. As you can see from the image above, He stayed ther...

A Life Update, and a Little Advice

Hey, everyone, I took today off to spend time with MrsDM as today we’ve been together for 25 years. That’s long enough to become grandparents! At this point it’s very easy to imagine spending the rest of our lives together, and I guess it’s also long enough to give advice to new couples or single people. The most important thing I’d say in that regard is that your partner should be your best friend. I know the physical stuff will seem important in the beginning, but that will fade w...

Early Access for "Scientists Discover God"

This video will go live to the rest of the world on Tuesday, but I'm making it available to supporters like you now. I always wanted to express what it would be like to discover the Abrahamic god in the modern era for the first time, without any of the cultural context, because I think that helps show what a human contrivance it really is. I think this video does a pretty good job of doing that. Let me know what you think. Thanks very much for your support; it really helps a lot.

Sharing 150 4K Space Images

Because my next animation is about scientists meeting God at the beginning of the universe, there are scenes of traveling through time and space. So, I used Space Engine (of which I have a commercial license) to make interesting space imagery. I thought it would be nice to share as much as I could with you. I can fit 150 4K images into an online folder. It's all yours. They make really good desktop wallpapers. So, here's the link to that folder:
