Here's the beginning phase of the first render of this month... 

End Of Month Update At The Beginning Of The Month.

Forgot it was February...

40 renders done this month which brings the total to 152 renders completed or about 50%. I'd mentioned before I had planned for around 300 renders for the first release.

The 4th character preview is unlocked for all patrons. If you haven't already, go have a look at the MC you'll be playing as. A Strapping Young Lad, I must say so.

End of Month Update.

This month's workload was 29% of the set goal, which amounted to 48 renders done. That's a total of 112 renders or just over a 1/3 of the way there.

Been super busy with a lot of other stuff, including freelancing. Just to put things into perspective, I can get anywhere between $100 - $150 per render. 

Took another look at the competition...everyone's still catching up. Hats off to the few devs that are at the top of their game. 

The 3rd character has been unlocked...

Yesterday was 2 years since the first release of Primal Instinct dropped. I think Meghan & Mei deserve a render to mark the occasion.

A lot of time was spent setting up environments, trying to get the lighting right and tweaking characters. I'm never ever happy with the outcome, but I move on ...

Halting production on Primal Instinct was not an easy decision. I put a lot into the story and characters. Primal Instinct's lack of support had nothing to do with marketing or not enough people knowing about it. Dev Update

Billing has been paused for August.

If everything goes well I'm aiming for a mid-August release. Just have in mind I've shifted focus on other things in life.

I had hoped to have the update finished by the end of last month, there's some other things I've needed to catch up on this month, so progress has been pretty slow.

Just letting you all know I'm still working on it whenever I can. I don't want to get it out just to be done with it. I'm still meticulously working on each render for the final scene. I've just had less time to put into it.

I know people get anxious when devs go silent. So, I hope this alleviates some of that anxiety....

Dev Update

Billing for July has been paused. Which means current patrons won't be charged at the beginning of next month. 

There is no option to turn charge upfront off for potential new patrons. So if anyone decides to pledge after the next update drops, treat it as a pledge for the work that's already gone into the project, knowing that further development on the project depends on if there's enough support. 

The update will be out soon-ish.

Hey everyone, I'll try my best to get the update out by the end of the month, but I'll be pausing patron next month. 

I've given it a good go, I know those of you who have decided to support the project seem to really enjoy the story I'm trying to tell, but unfortunately it's unsustainable. 

I think what I'm doing is worth more than the market seems to think at the moment. And to be 100% honest with all of you, I simply don't want to work on "Primal Instinct" for a few h...

Sales Tax Notice.

Patreon has added a sales tax. I'm not sure about the ins and outs, but depending in which country you live in, the percentage changes. I'm hoping they've sent everybody an email to  inform them.

Basically using the same hardware as when I started (upgraded RAM from 16GB to 32gb).

We're a long way from reaching that milestone so I can get a second GPU. So if you can, and you're enjoying the pretty pictures and the story, please consider pledging. I keep trying to get better, but sometimes it's frustrating due to hardware constraints.
