Eric's first concert was Foo Fighters (in 1994) and Kyde's was Elton John (in 1998ish).  What was yours?

Kyde Fact #51

Kyde changed the spelling of her name, from Katie, in middle school.  Her best friend at the time was also named Katie and they both decided that they couldn't stand having the same spelling and wanted to be unique.  So, Kyde was born!  This is a name tag from Kyde's job at a scrapbooking store.  She loves that it looks like all the ghosts are flicking her off!  Adorably offensive!

Eric Fact #51

Eric once had an amazing Hong Kong driver's license.  It took a bit of effort to get it, but we were persistent and succeeded.  In the end, Kyde lost it, along with an entire wallet, when we were in Israel.

Kyde Fact #50

Kyde likes SPAM!  This is an actual grocery list from one of the few times on our RTW trip that we had access to a kitchen.  We didn't know exactly what we'd find at the local store, but SPAM was on the list of must-haves.  Here's a little extra for this fact!  One of Kyde's favorite bands, Save Ferris, singing about SPAM!  Those vocals are just beautiful!  Enjoy!

Eric Fact #50

Eric's parents have always been animal people.  They lived on a farm while Eric was growing up and ended up breeding a lot of weird animals when he was a teenager.  One of the coolest animals they bred was the highland lynx.  They are just like a regular house cat, but a little more muscular.  They have two cool features... kinked ears and weird paws.  In the picture you can see Willie (the best of the best), and check out his paws.  They are much wider than a regul...

Kyde & Eric Fact #49 - VA/DC (Hometown) Favs

Our home area, VA and Washington DC, is home to some great statues.  Here are our favorites.  Eric loves this Posidon statues at VA Beach.  I must say it's looming and overpowering.  My favorite DC statue has always been Lincoln!  Might explain a bit why I'm attracted to Eric!

Kyde is in love with Korean food right now!  Can't get enough bibimbap!

Eric calls armpit hair "hamsters."  Here's an example.  He sees that I haven't shaved my armpits in a few days and says, "Those hamsters are getting out of control!"

Kyde loves inclement weather!  She considers it a challenge and enjoys conquering it!

Eric Fact #47

Eric has once broke an escalator!  Not sure how he got his sandal caught between the steps, but it got caught good!  If you look at the toe side of his sandal you can see the waffle imprint the escalator made.  The waffle stuck for months!  We were very lucky that his foot wasn't locked into his shoe or his foot might not have made it.

Kyde & Eric Facts #46

It's pretty well known that Eric loves giraffes, but we just found a picture of some interesting giraffing from our lives.  In the top picture, you can see Eric at a Putt Putt golf course standing next to a big giraffe!  Just a week or so ago, a friend of mine posted a picture of me when I was probably 6-7 standing next to the exact same giraffe!  We were so fated to be together!

If someone made a nature documentary about Tokyo they would certainly dedicated a good portion to the salaryman migration that takes place in Shinagawa every morning.
