Eric: I used to be in this band

When I was about 20 I joined a band my friends had started called "Kamikaze Escape Plan" to do a short tour around the east coast.

Our local newspaper had a weekly section dedicated to teenagers and was all written by them and put together by veteran punk rocker Dave Smalley who had played in Dag Nasty, All and Down by Law to name a few. Some of KEP's members had become friends with Dave through the newspaper thing and he offered to produce a demo for us at his friend's studio which...

Our 10 Year Youtube Anniversary!

Ten years ago we uploaded our first video to Youtube! The backstory here is there was this kinda boring 50's-style diner in our town that we'd go to all the time with friends just as a joke about going to eat someplace unexciting. It was like a game of restaurant chicken and if someone finally got tired of it they had to pay the ultimate price: decide where else to go eat.Anyways, at this subpar but  passable restaurant they had a especially subpar hotdog injected with factory made cheesewh...

I'm editing the final episode of our visit to The Philippines right now. It's one of my favorite videos I have ever edited as it has lots of exploration, drama, music and adventure to edit. I haven't been this excited to get it finished and share a video with the world in a while!

Walmart runs a similar store here called "Seiyu" and I noticed they are selling yukatas in pre-packaged sets. I find something about that very amusing, hahaha.

Eric: Hachiko's Butt!

The famous Hachiko is one of my favorite things in Japan. I was sitting behind him him last night and noticed how cool it was to watch all the people come and take pictures with him.

If you aren't aware of Hachiko, check out his Wikipedia! It's a wonderful story.

Eric: Saw this in the park

It's a statue of a bird with a brail explanation. The bird part is made so blind people can touch it and understand more clearly what a bird looks like. They had a bunch of them, different statutes for different birds that live in the area. Pretty cool, made me realize its not often one gets to touch a bird so for blind people their actual shape must be a bit of a mystery.

Eric: Bus ticket guy in The Philippines

When we were in The Philippines I wanted to document the way the tickets on buses work so I shot some footage of the bus guy doing his job. Afterwards Kyde was like "Seemed a little rude to shoot that guy's hands...." which confused me as I had totally 100% not realized homeboy had three thumbs. Not sure this shot is going to make it into the final footage as I don't think we shot anything else explaining the bus system.
