I hope you all had a restful and safe holiday last week. I am still hard at work on this Physics 101 course!... but I'm always finding time to play with science-y toys. This "magic" wand separates charges, creating a positive charge in the cardboard tube, repelling the negatively (edit: this should say positively) charged tinsel and making it float. Mostly, though, it's just fun 😊

Highlights: I'm safe, Bryce Canyon was super cool, green energy needs to be greener, and COVID testing and statistics are complicated. Oh, and y'all are awesome.
