Merry belated Christmas and happy holidays! This year the Ed, Edd n Eddy fandom arranged a Secret Santa giftart and fanfiction exchange, so here's the giftart I made for Jenny2x4 on Tumblr! The idea was just to draw the characters each person chose and although Jenny listed Marie as optional, I had to agree with her that the world can always use more Marie fanart. Hope you guys like it too!
As a little extra gift for you guys, I've whipped up some blank holiday card versions ...

So in this version you'll notice that some poses have been altered, background details have been added... also some gags have been added, courtesy of notes and concept art from our esteemed patron, Daniel Beckman! Other sequences have been shortened for tighter pacing. This is the version that I will be trying to animate in my free time.

Next week I'll probably share my latest awkward Smashbits freelance work, but first I'd like to share something I'm rather proud of! I've had several different theme song inspirations throughout Hoop-a-Joop's existence, but my favorite since at least 2015 has been the instrumental to Little Bitch by the Specials (or the cover by Big D and the Kids Table). Unfortunately, probably due to the song's vulgarity, there is no karaoke version of it that I could find, so I had to go ahead and...

Before I post some of my stranger animation projects in the coming weeks, I'd like to share another of my EEnE commissions. This one was actually a two parter that I did gradually over a couple months for my friend, Zachary Higgins.
The main request for part B was that I take my interpretation of the Eds from the previous commission and modify the Eds' clothes, hair and car to look like Zach and his friends. Zach asked that I stuff their car with inside jokes and nostal...

The main request for part A was that I draw my interpretation of the Eds in the place of Zach's friends in a photo from a roadtrip they had made together to Warped Tour one year. After hashing out who would be who and which settings from the show ...

Sorry again for the delay, real life got really busy after last month's hurricane and this month's birthday, but I've caught my breath and here's a new animation I made in September! Remember the 8th Smashbits project I posted? The French one with a guy named Cyril? If not, here's the link to the released animation:

Hello! I apologize for my absence, I lost power during Hurricane Irma 2 weeks ago-- I got power back within 2 days, which was ahead of most people, but I continued to be without Internet for a week and then was very busy with my next full-length Smashbits commission.
Fortunately I haven't run out of things to post yet, so how about I ease back into it with this sorta-sweet Ed, Edd n Eddy commission I did at the beginning of the year and forgot to share! I got an email f...

Update 8/30/2017: Wow!!! So this is almost at 3 million views! It passed 1 million on the first day and made 2 million within 3 days, which is both a new record for any of my animations AND a new record for Smashbits! Even cooler to me, it's been trending in Canada apparently!
Wow, look what's finally been released, it's my Hello Neighbor parody that I shared with you guys a few weeks ago! So proud to see it's already near 100,000 views on the first day. I haven't...

For my second Disney animation I was assigned another fake commercial, but this time there would be no green screen, meaning it would be purely my direction. This was very exciting, but also intimidating because the audio they sent me was so rough and they gave me the contract with less than a week before the deadline. But when I returned from my Long Island trip, I discovered that Giant Cop had aired and I was blown away by how good it looked on TV and how much funnier it w...

Here's my first clip from Parker Plays on Disney XD's DXP block!!! It happens around 7 minutes into the first episode, which turned out to be available for free on Youtube: https://youtu.be/393TiRtCQtg
Hopefully I can find my other televised clip as easily as this and get that recorded too! It seems like episode descriptions get jumbled up in later episodes so I'm not sure if I'll ever see the edited v...

For my first Disney animation I was assigned a fantasy sequence for a green screen commercial. It appears 7 minutes into the first episode and is Parker's response to playing a game about building an amusement park. I was shown video of Parker Coppins performing as a carnival barker and told to animate a park around him, with very little directions beyond that. Unfortunately I do not think I'm allowed to share the raw green screen footage, but I am able to share what I co...

Hellooo Neighbor! Here's a parody I was assigned, it was written and voiced by Dexter Manning (who you'll probably recognize as Jesse from my Minecraft videos), and is based on a game called Hello Neighbor about you moving into a new house across the street from a neighbor character who is programmed with artificial intelligence that allows him to outsmart and catch the player. It was very hard to find consistent information about the game's designs because it seems like the game is ...

So I got my first cartoon shorts on TV this year! The channel is Disney XD. It's a live action show called Parker Plays. It's part of a brand new gaming block that's essentially Disney's answer to Adult Swim (I saw digital blood in the first ep!) and they got a real Youtuber to make a sketch show with similarly little direction. I have actually watched a few full episodes and personally enjoyed it, but if you're only interested in my contribution, it's important ...

Hello again, everyone, I'm so glad to be back online! As I mentioned last time, I was buried under a mountain of projects that I couldn't wait to share with you, but unfortunately that was not the only setback... I also started running into several technical difficulties with my laptop! I lost a lot of production time and any hours online had to be strictly focused on animation, so I'm very sorry for missing messages and not being able to post during that time. But I'm able to ...

Hello! I wanted to give an update because I saw we had some new faces who may not be familiar with all the places I post art. I have been swamped under a mountain of projects, but over summer I'll have some cool new things to show you from all that work. Mostly freelance as usual, but higher budget than normal. One of them was actually a short sketch for a major TV network, hush hush...
I also had some time off in the past month and started storyboard...

Once again I'd like to warn viewers about the offensive contents as I do not write the dialogue, and explain that my main tasks as Art Director for this episode were: Storyboard Direction, new backgrounds, new characters (except some monsters), ...

So as I had previously warned, I've been assisting on more of these needlessly offensive Minecraft cartoons. What's interesting about these new episodes, though, is that I am working in even more of a studio capacity than usual! For episode one, I did all the art and animation, while writing and audio was lef...

Here's something I was working on in January! I did the bulk of this animatic and the beginning while visiting my parents in New York. It was a bit hectic trying to get this whole thing done in a schedule of about 20 days, but I managed to get it done with only a few cut corners and complications. I am not super familiar with Smosh Games, but I used to be a big fan of the main Smosh channel during my high school years, so it's an honor to be associated with them ...

Over July-August, after a break from Smashbits and before the Minecraft animation, I was asked to animate a short let's play animation for a French Youtube channel. I was given an English script to animate to, which still explained NOTHING about this game, haha. During production on this, I was interrupted for a week by an emergency non-animated side project for Smashbits, which I will probably share on the private blog next week (since this is the last animation I have t...

In September, early on in production on the Minecraft animation, I was assigned an emergency project that was so overdue they were going to give me a roughly $800 bonus to finish what would normally be one of their lowest paying assignments (a 1-minute let's play animation). The catch was that it was due in 6 days, so I had to work as fast as I possibly could and cut all corners in my path. The results may not be pretty but in the end I kinda fell in love with the cartoon......

Ho ho ho, MERRY CHRISTMAS! Here's a yuletide letter about what I've been up to, leading up to this video:
This is the released animation for a freelance cartoon I was hesitant about sharing, due to its crudeness. But considering I worked on it from August through November, and that it's the first 10 minute cartoon I've made in a few years, and that it's pretty popular now, maybe you guys would be interested!
This was technically the cheapest I've ever been asked ...

One of my Smashbits freelance animations finally came out! I haven't watched this yet to see if they changed anything, but Erica tells me they came up with a new background music mix. From what I understand they didn't rerecord the voice so the narrator's pronunciation errors are probably still in there.
I meant to say this with last week's Smashbits post, but for these non-music video commissions, they usually send me a document that has the script on the left and a list of sh...
