Next Sketch Stream on Sunday, April 5th at 2PM PST

My next Sketch Stream will be on Sunday, April 5th at 2PM PST.

This month's theme is.... Secret Theme!

I'm not telling you what the theme is.

Join me for the Sketch Strem and bring your suggestions for fun things to draw and, if I use your suggestion, I'll add my Secret Theme to it. But nobody gets to see what the Secret Theme is until the end.

If you won't be able to make it to the Sketch St...

Free Kisses - Process

1. Rough sketch. I started with a rough sketch to determine out the layout. I used a symmetry ruler to rough in the character.

2. Final sketch. I use separate layers in multiple folders for the various props and the character which makes it easier to plan, especially when so many of the parts overlap. If you look closely, you can see that I draw some parts that I know will be completely hidden behind others, particularly the basic body shape, to make sure it will all make sense together...

Free Kisses

It's such a shame that, from here, your admirers can't see what the rest of your pretty outfit looks like. If they want to know what is written on the back of your lovely bow, they'll just have to come around the back.

This was drawn based on the non-random selection of Eelco's suggestion of "Public Pillory" combined with killie's suggestion of "Kissing Booth" for March's theme of "One from Column A, One from Column B". View Post

Spring Break Bully - Process

1. In Clip Studio, I draw rough thumbnail to get the basic concept down.

2. I used Clip Studio's 3D character models to stage the scene.

3. Rough sketch. Following the models, I make a more formal sketch to finalize the layout and poses. I used a perspective ruler to rough in the environment. I wound up shifting the main characters a little bit to one side which may not be perfectly in line with the perspective but it makes a better layout.

4. Final sketch. I use separate la...

Find the Lady - Process

1. In Clip Studio, I draw rough thumbnail to get the basic concept down.

Spinning doesn't really affect the game; it's just fun. And it's not as if she has any chance of picking the right Queen.

This was drawn based on the random selection of not telling's suggestion of "Three-card Monte" combined with Topcut234's suggestion of "Latex mannequin" for March's theme of "One from Column A, One from Column B".
