I tried using a little more detail with the shading this time but still keeping it fairly simple so I can work quickly with the comic pages.

Character Design: Georgette - Process

1. First, I did a pencil sketch of the character. Well, no, first, I spent months writing the story and script. Then I drew this sketch of the character. I went through several different iterations of the design before I settled on this. I also experimented with some different facial expressions which might appear in the comic.

This is the main character from the first comic I want to start drawing. I don't want to say too much about her personality because I want to know what you think her personality based on the design. So I'll just say that Georgette is 28 years old and is 5'7" tall.

The color illustration uses a much simpler shading style, which is what I have in mind for my comic. I'm not sure if I'm happy with this yet so I may experiment with it a little more in the other character designs.

Unpaid Museum Internship: Sissy - Process

1. Rough sketch. I sketched out the outfit over the original mannequin. I used my and Clip Studio's 3D models as references and roughed in the general shapes for the clothing and props.

2. Mid Sketch. This time, I felt like I needed to rough out the details a little more before going to final sketch, in order to plan the placement of the complicated ruffles more carefully.
