What do you think about this level of finish? The wallpapers doesn't look so great anymore... I'm trying to develop some simpler technique that would allow me to finish things faster. Working on one pic for a week is really annoying and then it gets 50 likes while a colored sketch has 250 and it all just feels like a wasted time. I really love this sharp highly detailed style, but unfortunately it's just not worth it to spend so much time on every single pic – especially when you are trying...

I guess this shows an another flaw of this kind of voting system. Amaterasu was the most desired character this month, but she ended at the end, because it's not possible for a character to get this much votes to win so quickly. Getting to #1 will take her few months.
