Alright. So there is a second minions movie coming out next year and the first thought that comes to mind is Stanley Tucci in “The Devil Wears Prada” yelling, “Alright everybody! Gird your loins!”
I understand it’s not really a hot take to say, “The Minions are lame” since everyone’s been saying that since the “Minions” movie stumbled onto the silver screen in 2015. But "Minions” has made over a billion dollars in ticket sales, as well as being one of the sin...

Today I want to go through my thoughts on Musicals in television. Because its rare when we actually find a musical experience on TV and even more rare when we are given a true musical experience that’s emblematic of what we would see on Broadway or your most annoying friend’s community theatre production.
Before the 70’s musical experiences were the blockbusters of their time. They were known as huge event movies because the musical by nature commands a lot of a...

Was the first “Angry Birds” movie that you didn’t see not good enough for you? Was it the unnecessary plot too stupid? Was it because it had absolutely nothing to do with the game? Have you lost interest with this introduction because I still haven’t gotten to the point? Omg same.
But yeah there is a second Angry Birds movie coming out. It’s going to be...

The Emoji Movie was never meant to be a good film, it was made to capitalize on the recognition of social media. The idea of having Donuts so heavily featured in The Power Rangers (2017) was only there to so Dunkin’ Donuts could help facilitate the cost of an underwhelming nostalgic cash grab. The director knew this, as well as the writers and producers. It’s always fun to laugh...

Uh oh! Its that time of the month again! That’s right! I get to chat about some irrelevant and obscure pop culture topics. Gross, what did you think I was talking about?
So you might have heard of this little show called Game of Thrones, and how they recently had a finale that seemed to disappoint a lot of people. There is no shortage of petitions and public opinions on the matter and I’m too insecure to not be apart of something so I wanted to throw my own ...

What’s up friends! So this month I just finished a huge video essay that I’ve been working on for a little while and it took up most of my spare time this month. And you may be thinking, “Kevin, if one project took you that much time to complete, maybe you could look into being more efficient. Try setting timers or writing everything down on a calendar.” And to that I say, “you’re right but no! Planning what nerds do and I’m right to do things my way.”
Normally I would ramble about something related to animation, but due to my desire to keep things fresh as well as my crippling ADHD, i'm going to mix things up a little. I usually I like to stick to animation on this page, but instead I’m going to discuss some characters that are about to be animation. Today we are diving into Sonic The Hedgehog, Detective Pikachu and Mario and problems ahead that could cause all these properties to crash and burn at the box office. It’s fun to mak...

Every time Someone brings up James Gunn in conversation I immediately talk about how he wrote the screen play for Scooby Doo 2 and how they should all watch it. People beg and plead for me to stop, they say things like, “that’s not relevant” or, “Sit down we are all trying to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2! Also this is a movie theatre, do you even have a ticket?” But They can’t stop my passion for this mo...

2014 was a great year for cynicism in television. You had “BoJack Horseman” fresh off its first season, a show that elevated the understanding of relatability despite characters being misanthropic. “Over the Garden Wall” had taken the adorable aesthetic of adventure time and mixed with with some dedicated story telling of "Gravity Falls". And you had “Rick and Morty” entering its 2nd season. The show was just starting to find its legs and experimenti...
