So besides the backwards compatibility story we covered earlier this week it was relatively quiet. If anything you could call this the streaming week as we learned about PS Now coming to PS5, Stadia on the horizon, xCloud invites going out, and a cloud controller patent. But let's not forget Death Stranding. I know I won't let you, neither will Kojima. In fact, you need to start living and breathing Death Stranding. Good luck pulling that one off.

Looks like that PS5 dev kit design got a new mockup that's been circulating! And as cool as it is, it's pretty misleading. So let's nip that one in the bud and get to something better: FIRMWARE. Not just any firmware though, PS3 and Vita system performance firmware. (Yeah, now we're talking). Oh and there's also some Death Stranding details and Last of Us Part 2 footage being teased. Another huge week of PlayStation news as we slowly work our way out of Gamescom 2019. Death Stranding finally shed some light onto whats going on. Sony is getting pretty serious about next-gen. They are going all out with the strategy comments this week telling us they're getting more developers, they're getting AAA games, and that PS5 will be for the hardcore. That sounds great but there's also indies left in the dust. We also have some smaller things to sweep in, like VR, Streaming, a God of War movie, and Gran Turismo! Vroooooom.
