Favorite part of checking out natural history museums is how much you can learn from doodling all these critters!
It also made me realize how important volume is when doing these sketches. How to volume in 2D, it's something to always improve!

Landscapes are still indeed hard for me to draw and be satisfied with, harder still are landscapes on big scales! Need to train mahself!

Working on a new header for www.gogetaroomie.com! Amongst other things :>
Wanted to evoke a similar image to the current header image, but with differences like arms opened in welcome and different "clothing" for each of them.

In other news:
Got some sort of infection from a bug bite (maybe???) so this week was me being sick with the mysterious side effects of that. But! It helped me take just the littlest of comic break to draw things just for pleasure and that was nice<3 wanna do more of that!
So Friday's ggar update will be a little doodle for valentine's day, and maybe Headless Bliss' tuesday update will also have a doodle, we will see.
Did you know? My first (or second?) nickname I gave myself as an online artist was "Saikoh" (because it sounded like "psycho" and I thought it very clever thank you very much) and I made a very few comic strips back what I was in art school (so like... around 2009?) and you can see what type of humor and style I was into and I think it still holds up? Mainly because of the way I turn back the jokes on myself, in a light-hearted way.

This took YEARS to do because I wanted to test out Krita with this one and okay, I learned a few things, neat, but for someone who has been used to a certain art program for more than ten years to switch to something new is so frustrating! And it frustrates me to be frustraded ;)
But I need to keep doing this at a regular pace, so I'll keep on practicing! One day...!
