Not a lot of drawing time today (which sucks since I need to leave town tomorrow morning) but made some progress on the final Spider-Gwen pinup...with a very special guest.
...all good things come to an end.
But not for us! This is just chapter 1 and it's not even done yet! Four pages to go, with a bit of bonus content to boot!
This was a frustrating page to get through, but it really forced me to play and experiment with all the tools and brushes that clip studio has to offer. I learned a lot with this one. :)
...And I just noticed I still need to color the rope in Megs hands in panel 5. ^^;

...Has been my warm up drawing character this month. I have one more image of her planned, but it likely won't be done till October as I'll be focusing most of my attention on BLACK LABEL (just a few more pages to go).
For some reason the color settings on my Wacom are a bit off. Been trying to figure out a fix for it. As a result a lot of highlights, particularly the ones in her hair, are off (and blond hair can be a challenge in general).

I'm finding it really difficult to do smooth lines in Clip Studio when it comes to larger images so I decided to draw it in pencil to save time. Also, I don't want to lose my penciling skillz.

This weekend was a bit crazy with me being on the road for the first half and then having to unexpectedly hit the road again. It’s a living. The tradeoff to the sudden and unexpected road trips is that I get a lot of flexibility in my regular schedule allowing me to work on comics, so I really can’t complain. :)

A couple issues. For whatever reason the colors on my Wacom and my computer monitor look drastically different. Also, this was colors almost entirely in Clip Studio so I’ll have to look at it with fresh eyes in a little while to see if I like what’s happening.
If I do finish it tonight I’ll also post the hi-Rez files for you guys. :)

...been watching a lot of YouTube speed drawing vids and everyone seems to utilize this technique of sketching out the general shape with a wide brush rather than pencil lines. Thought I’d give it a go. I don’t know what it is...but it’s working. I can’t explain it. It’s like...giving me a clearer vision of depth? I don’t know. It’s moments like these when I realize just how much more there is to learn.
