How I spent my day...

...storyboarding the next seven pages and then getting the next page sketched! It still needs a lot of detailing before I get to the hard lines, but it’s getting close. Gonna be a fun bunch of pages!

I’m not going to have much drawing time tomorrow or Saturday but we’ll see what I can manage.

Chapter 3 goes live on DevArt tomorrow so that’s exciting! Two pages a week! I’m so excited! Thanks for helping me make this happen!

Chapter 3, Page 14...

...Whew, I've been waiting to get to this page for a long time!  Can't believe we finally made it!  I am exhausted, so I think i'm going to take a couple weeks off to work on something else.

I'M KIDDING!  I'm not going to leave you guys hanging like that!  I'm already designing the next page!  It's a relatively short page (4 panels) but there are a lot of details, so I'm guessing it will go up either late this weekend or early next week.  The next six or se...

What a day...

...thought I’d be home around 5pm, but I just got in. It’s 10pm. So...yeah, I’m off to bed. Really wanted to draw today. Ah well, tomorrow will be better. Here’s the layout and rough sketch for page 14. So ready to knock this one out of the park.

Weekly Update 09.02.2019...

…Last week was a good one, with two new pages and a productive bout of writing and sketching! I’ve got a nice catalog of ideas to work with (I'll never be lacking things to draw) and two new page designs scribbled out and ready for proper sketches. Very excited to get to work!

The first page of Chapter 3 goes up on the web this week! Two pages a week is the plan, and as it stands, there should be no problem getting two consistent posts from now through the beginning of December. Oct...

...for tomorrow’s game! Spent most of my free time today prepping, but got some writing and sketching in.

The game we’re playing is the classic PAPER CHASE. The scenario is designed for one or two players but more people keep getting invited to play. I think we’re up to five now, so I’ve expanded the plot quite a bit. I’ll let you know how it goes.

This weekend I've got work and Call of Cthulhu, but I'll be back next week ready to get the next two pages done.  Hopefully we'll be getting some yuri bondage in there.  Should be a lot of fun!

Chapter 3, Page 12...

...Can't believe this one took so long considering it's just a bunch of talking heads.  This is why I need to do a little line art every day; so I don't loose my edge!

Onto the next page!  Page 13 was originally going to have a big reveal, but I had to move it back a bit as I needed an extra page to fit in some extra info.  Looks like it will be page 15.  Sorry about that.  I'm a monster.

Don’t know why this took so long. I’m really good at faces and expressions (or at least I thought I was) but I really had a time and a half. I think it was the eyes, because all the characters are looking down.

The original text was about two pages long and went into detail about what a back stabbing bastard the Count was and more details about his...purchase.  Also more detail about how she shot the blade down his throat, and as he laid there dying, unable to speak, she took off the chains, gathered her belongings and lept gracefully out of the tower window.

Got home early and knocked out the sketches pretty quickly. Hoping I can get this page finished by early Wednesday so we can get to the next page. So much stuff is about to go down.

Weekly Update 08.26.2019...

…Last week was a busy one, especially the weekend. We only managed one new page, but we’re moving forward and getting close to the September 6th release for chapter 3! So excited to get it out there and to see if I can maintain the two post a week schedule. :)

I've discovered that I need to draw digital line art (not just sketches or tones) at least every other day otherwise I start to lose my edge.  I've got a stack of sketches and a side project I've been itching to play with...

I originally planned to post it with a set of prose telling the story, but I've always struggled with prose.  Dialogue has always been my speed.  Besides, it's more fun for you guys to make up your own story, right?

I might post it in a few days once I've had the chance to edit it down a bit.

...long day working outside. Gonna shut my brain off and relax. Might start filling in the base tones for this. Really happy with how she looks. Need to add some details to the manacles but that can wait for now. :)

This turned into a busy week.  Gonna get started on the next page whn I get home this evening, but I'll be out most of the weekend for work, so this is looking like a one page week. :(

Still, we are moving forward!  Couple more pages of character development, and then we get some bondage!  It's gonna be...interesting. ;)

Also, that sewing machine was a lot of fun to draw.

Warm up drawing...

Two characters from a side project that I've been too busy to start.  Black Label is my top priority, but hey, I get bored and need some variety sometimes and I need to warm up with something, right?  I'm not officially pulling the trigger on this yet (far too busy for that), but I suspect you'll be seeing more of these two in the near future. :)

Weekly Update 08.19.2019...

…We’ve been going at two pages a week pretty consistently for the past month or so and this thrills me to no end! Moving on to Pages 11 and 12 this week, so we’ve got a couple laughs and some character development to look forward to!

Last week was pretty big! We got the last page of Chapter 2 posted on DevArt and we moved the release date of Chapter 3 from October 4th to September 6th. I’ll be releasing two pages a week instead of three, but that’s probably for the best. Septe...

I really feel for Meg.  I've been there.

I'm really hoping I can keep the two pages a week number going, but things are going to going to get pretty busy next few months (October especially).  Still, we're making great progress!  Going to get pages 11 and 12 laid out next so I can be ready to hit them hard this coming week!

Lines and base tones...

...are done! Also all the text and speech bubbles are done. I just need to finish the tones which I will do tomorrow. Which means the new page goes up tomorrow!

I was on the road for seven hours yesterday. Seven! Was completely useless when I got home. It was so weird not posting an update yesterday. Fully recovered after a long nights rest and excited to get back to work! :)

...this took forever. 😅

Gonna be a fun page, but I need to walk away for a while. I don’t know why, but that last panel took the most time by far. Actually, I know why; I’ve gotten very good at drawing expressive female faces. Expressive male faces (or males in general) I have not. Yet. I’ll get there.

Will start the line art tomorrow and hopefully have the page done either Saturday or Sunday (I’m hoping Saturday). Night y’all!

...I should be able to knock out the detailed sketches this evening. Super simple layout and lots of fun expressions. Gonna be fun to work on!

...Seri LaVash!  Here's a Hi-Rez pic for my $5 Patrons.  This was a lot of fun to make (all those hours watching Bob Ross are paying off)!

I feel like I don't post enough exclusive material for you guys.  I've tried some different stuff in the past (polls and whatnot) but I have an idea that you guys might enjoy.  I'm going to keep plugging away at Black Label, but I'll see if I can't make some time for it (I'm thinking it will be a monthly thing).
