Hello there,
I wanted an outfit that gave off Velma-vibes for some of my Halloween comics this year, so I combined the classic Velma turtle neck with a cute little tartan skirt. I think 'little' is probably the best way to describe this skirt, as it turned out to be much shorter at the back than I intended it to be!
You'll see what I mean...

I nearly didn't post this, as it made absolutely no impact at all five years ago! Back in 2019, I was experimenting with a proto-Totty character called Dotti Doodle. She was a live-action Betty Boop, with a cartoon head and gloves.
I was trying to capture an authentic 1930s vibe, but I think the style just confused people. Perhaps the grainy black and white filter I added was too off-putting or it may have been the creepy oversized head that did it. Either way, it didn't take off.

Interesting fact 🤓...
In the UK, if a black cat crosses your path, it's considered to be lucky - the complete opposite is the case in the US. So this comic doesn't work for my fellow Brits.

As you probably know, I love any excuse to dress up. I'd like to campaign for more costume holidays like Halloween :)
I originally intended to wear a real diving suit for the end panel after I found a beautiful old diving helmet in a local antique shop. It was quite expensive though and I couldn't really justify splashing the cash for one silly gag.
