HUGE GOAL REACHED TODAY! A NEW GRAPHICS CARD! With this overdue upgrade I have now SLICED RENDER TIMES IN HALF!
This upgrade is so overdue it's not funny, upgrading from my old 960 this is an incredible productivity jump for me!
Card is second hand, but still under warranty.

Nothing too crazy, just a cheap Ebay job for $16. But I love it! It's huge, it's cool and I get to have my hand on Hanna's butt all day now :3. Old matt was just getting to that point where it gets nasty, lasted 13 months which is pretty good for me anyway, with the crazy hours I do at the computer. GTX 960 as size reference, the matt is 900x400, I wanted 460 tall but I can't complain, this is great!

Huge upgrade, co comfy and safe. One of the most overdue upgrades to date, I spend dangerous amounts of time at the computer and this will hopefully stop me from dropping dead one afternoon.

Goal Reached: New HDD
Nothing too wild, just a basic cuda 2T, need a few more of them down the track but this is the first step toward new and safer storage solutions. A much needed upgrade. It's so shiny!

Angle 1 of the current Patreon request. This should have been all rendered already but I used an experimental feature set to simulate this really high quality steam and it's been coming up with errors. But the simulation took several hours to complete and I don't want to have to re-compute it. Hopefully all fixed by tomorrow. :3

GOAL REACHED! NEW WORKSTATION!!!
Old PC, the X58 I7 920. 11 years it's been! Still going strong but unfortunately not really possible to work with and has had bits dying for a while. Also rat nest of wires from every time it got cleaned out for dust and just didn't put it back together properly.

The never ending experimentation continues! Still exploring HDRI environments and new compositing techniques, as well as learning some new tricks in Photoshop(Thanks Nej :P). Also really applying adaptive subdivision which is something I really need to be using more but, well, I just haven't.
New Draenei Preview, FREAKS!
Working on a new Draenei model to try and create a thick model. Got some jewellery and textures done, now need to start on the actual thickening and normals, but I had to make a silly pose while at it to show my progress :3

I was experimenting with new ways of implementing volumetric lighting and made a major breakthrough with LUTs!!! A quick doodle to show off, as I was looking for the new Whitemaine model inside the HOTS directory but she isn't out yet. So while at it I pulled out Auriel instead LOL, those wings were a bit of a challenge to texture right but I think I did ok :3

I know I'm building a budget workstation right now but sometimes spending a little bit more for better quality pays off big in the long run and after much research and advice(even an email from Gskill themselves) assures me this is the right choice! I am so exited right now, first piece of the new workstation!!! So close now! yet so far :P

Jawbreaker Angle 4
Jawbreaker angle 4 of the current project, I'm rendering them out of order for reasons :P. These are taking about 8 hours each so will take a few nights to smash them out but looking pretty dam good already. In this angle the "angry dragon" pose took some sculpting for the juice but I think it looks great! I love my grass and outdoor scenes but dam does pretty grass and water reflections take some serious time to render out. WORTH IT!
