I will occassionally work on Finding My Way Chapter 2 based on feedback throughout the month, but will put my main focus on it and Drone Boot Camp in August.

It's been a hot few weeks, but I've been pushing myself to work out and cook more, so while I feel pretty tired I feel like I'm moving forward...

Hi everyone,

Here’s the first chapter. I thought about the progression of the story and figured a slower beginning might be a good idea. I will have a few polls posted in which you can offer suggestions on initial directions for the story. It is choppy but does introduce characters that I want to involve in the story, as well as some elements of the alien rubber symbiote and story background. I'm going to some time setting up a Patreon-only portion of my discord server as a backup repository and with a chat channel. This may make my discord look a little crazy while I figure this out, so I wanted to give you all advance notice.

Moving Into Drone City

In Chapter 2, the protagonist will be shown different places in Drone City. I'm looking for feedback on what kinds of places y'all want to see in the chapter. Feel free to comment too on possible places. I will pick a few for the story.

There's two places that will definitely show up ("Cafeteria" and "Storage Rooms"), so they are not on the list and aren't counting towards my picks.

Updates from Drone NG5

I've got half of the boot camp story written out as an assortment of contradictory notes and passages, so I will be working on those and releasing further chapters in the future. You may notice the new pdf look that I am going to try for polished stories on this channel. It's a little short right now, but I want to spend more time polishing the next scene and adding some more dialogue and interaction to it before I post it here.

Illness Update

Good news everyone! I am mostly recovered from my spout of coughing and chest/ab cramps last week. Voice is still a bit rough, but much better. Cant wait to get back into writing drone stories. I do 90% of my writing using speech to text software, so not having a coherent voice for the last two weeks has been a major letdown. Speech to text definitely saves my arms and so I usually dont write if I can’t speak; I’ve found it easier to speak my stories rather than type them funny enough. 2024-02-15 21:15:53 +0000 UTC View Post

Update

Caught the common cold recently. Am getting better but still not done yet. Coughing led to side pain that doctor that is miscle strains (no surprise given physical weakness after moving in mid Jan). So my chapters will be delayed to when I am over this sickness.
