Spending the rest of this weekend working on the cover. Two commissions, and then it's finalizing chapter 3's script, starting thumbnails for Smolder Scrolls 2. I'm just a heckin' busy artist everyday, oof.

WOOF. So I went kinda fast on this set, saved the clothing in a number of panels for inks. Put off the design motifs too, which (as inks are already done) went mostly well. We're getting down to three weeks before GalaxyCon? I still have two more pages and a cover to finish before then, and then getting it printed, if I can do that in time.

Gosh okay, here is a heckin' big ol' set of pages for ya to enjoy! I tried to use a few different means of applying the shading on these pages in order to save a little time. Usually I fill the whole character with a gradient or a level of color multiplied, and erase it to fill in the areas of light. To save a little time though, I tried focusing on key parts to shade with a lot of the crowd shots. OOF, such crowds.

AH OOF. Getting back to the goofs series.
I loved the idea of building up this dumb tension between the drunk party-goers, Yakone, and Lamont. Yakone trying to ruin the party by continually escalating means, Lamont getting annoyed about the circumstance, and the party-goers unaware of the danger/un-neatness. Which of course isn't going to end well.

I'm a little bit wary about the potion/lube in page 7. I'm much too used to trying to render out liquids and light refraction to really simplify it effectively yet, but I hope it reads well and doesn't block up the horny aesthetics.

Look I might be indulging myself with these characters a lot, but let's be honest. All of my smooch artwork is indulgent to some degree. All of my art is pretty indulgent now haha!
