Online Communities - Where Should I Be?

So one of my goals developing Lab Rats is to make it available to as many people as possible. So far, all of my attention has either been here, or over on the Legend of Krystal forums. The internet is a big place though, and I'm sure there are a ton of communities that I don't even know exist.

So, my question to everyone: What are some communities I should be aware of? Where do you frequent on a regular basis? 

v0.3 Release Date

25 individual minor scenes have been written so far, and I feel that there's enough new content now that I can set a release date for v0.3. An early version will be released to all of my $5 patons next Tuesday night (v0.3.0, Jan 17) and a public version will be released a week later (v0.3.1, Jan 24).

Over the next week I'll be hard at work creating as many image sets as I can for the minor scenes, in addition to making sure every single major scene has an image set. v0.3.0 should contain image...

I'm working on the image set for the mother-daughter movie threesome right now, and things are going very well indeed.

As for writing, I've just finished the 25th individual minor scene. That's feeling like a good number to have for the release of v0.3. There's just one more major scene after this one that still needs an image set, then I'll turn my focus onto generating them for the minor scenes. Lily's Swimwear

As promised, here's Lily in a pair of potential new outfits! In other news, I wrote up a minor scene for Alexia and added image sets to two major scenes (One for Nora, one for Stephanie). A productive night all around.

Some details about v0.3

We've reached a milestone tonight. Lab Rats currently contains 100 000 words of dialog across all of it's events! Looking at it now that's a huge amount of writing, a solid length novel worth of words. I'm sure an unusually large proportion of those words are "Fuck" and "Cum", but it's impressive none the less!

As of now there are  22 different minor scenes involving the 5 girls, all of them with 2 to 4 different levels depending on your influence score. I've got plans for a few more...

Mom's Swimwear

v0.3 is going well, so I took a short break to put together some swimwear outfits. These don't have a place in the game currently, but after seeing what they look like I'm very excited to introduce some sort of beach location or event in a future update. 

This is mom's set, both high and low sluttiness versions. I've got a set for Lily as well that I'll put up in a day or two, so keep an eye out for that.

And yet more progress towards v0.3!

Nothing super exciting to report from today, just more work chugging along towards the v0.3 release. I wrote two more fairly large minor scenes (Involving Alexia and Stephanie on campus, if anyone was wondering) and fixed a whole pile of spelling errors sent to me by an awesome person. If everything stays on track, v0.3 will be good to go in about two weeks. Now to make another cup of tea and keep at it!

Party Girl Stephanie

Still mostly working on writing new content for v0.3, but I took a short break to work on an image set for one of Stephanie's new minor scenes. This is her casual outfit, when she's out on the town. As you can see, she's a big hit at parties.

v0.3 Progress

I'm back from my new years celebrations and have a progress report on v0.3! I was able to find some time here and there over the weekend to do a little work, so it wasn't a complete standstill.

Right now there are a total of 11 new minor scenes that have been written, a few with images added. If everything goes to plan I'll have another two written tonight as well, brining the total up to 13 new and 4 old minor events to be found. Right now I'm aiming for something like 30 or 40  new...

Bring on 2017

I"m doing a little work today on Lab Rats, then taking the weekend off to relax with family and friends. I should be back to work Monday night writting some more minor scenes.

Things to do in v0.2.1

The new version brought a ton of new content and made it easier to access some of the content already included in v0.1.1. Here are some hints on how to find the new scenes.

1. Stephanie, Nora, and Alexia will all give you their phone numbers with enough influence. They all have scenes tied to texting them.

2. Several scenes require it to be the weekend. If you don't have anything to do on a Saterday afternoon take a moment and talk to Lily.

v0.2.1a, a quick bug fix update

Another day, another version!

Within a few hours of releasing v0.2.1 I discovered a number of easily fixed bugs, so I'm pushing out a new version quickly that fixes them. Clothes Shoping with Alexia

I found a few bugs with v0.2.1, so I'm uploading a new version (More on that in a different post though). While I was at it I took some time and finished up the images for Alexia's new scene at the mall. Here's a compelation of the different underwears she can show off to you. Pick your favourite and let me know, because it might show up more often in v0.3.

v0.2.1 is live!

The new version has over 200 images used throughout the game, over five times the number that were included in v0.1.0. It also has almost double the amount of dialoge, so new content should be plentiful. I'll be doing a post tomorrow nig...

ETA for v0.2.1

v0.2.1 of Lab Rats will be released to the public late Monday night (Dec 26/27). It will add images to five more scenes, fix several bugs found in 0.2.0, and have a basic inventory and influence tracking UI. Until then I will be busy with Christmas and unable to post any more updates.

Good progress on making images tonight. As long as nothing unexpected crops up I should have another 4 or 5 scenes done with images by the time the weekend rolls around and it's time to release v0.2.1. If you have any suggestions for which scenes deserve the honour first, let me know!

Back to work on v0.2.1!

The last two days I was busy with christmas events and such, but I've now got the rest of the week free to get some bug fixing done and polish up v0.2 for public release! v0.2 seems well recieved so far, and is a big step towards creating an actual game rather than a collection of text and pictures. Thank you all for the support, and I'll continue doing the best work I can.

If everything goes well tonight I'll post some patron only pictures of what I've been working on.

Lab Rats (v0.2.0)  

Version 0.2.0 is Released to Patrons!

Version 0.2.0 is ready to be released to my $5 or higher patrons. The game has almost double the amount of dialog spread throughout 18 major scenes now, and has more than double the number of images that v0.1 had.  More major scenes means it's also now possible to get every option for the scenes that have already been included. I'm guessing it's somewhere between x3 and x4 as much content as v0.1 was.

I'm aiming to finish two major scenes tonight, both of them involving Nora. I took some shots while I was doing some rough work to get a feel for how the scene should go. Enjoy!

v0.2 Progress

Version 0.2 is going well. So far 5 new major scenes are finished and 3 are in progress. A bunch of new images have been added to scenes both new and old, and there are a few new areas of the game that I've been expanding.

I'm working on a new major scene involving Stephanie tonight, but before I start writting stuff down I need to know what she's wearing. Here are some shots of her I'm using for inspiration. 

Rough Roadmap

v0.1 of Lab Rats has been out for a while, and I've had time to do some more work and think about how the future updates will be planned out. Currently, the rough plan is this:

v0.2 - The Major Scene Update: Get enough scenes in the game that you can max out influence with each of the girls and get all of their options. That will be 4-ish scenes per girl.

v0.3 - The Minor Scene Update: This will add all the little touches that make the girls seem sluttier as time goes on...

Mom at Night

I've written up a new major scene with mom at night, and added all the images for it too. Here's her pyjama outfit and a memorable moment from the night.

Version 0.2 in development

Version 0.1 is out, and i've already turned my sights to the next iteration of Lab Rats. 

So far two more major scenes have been written, and two more scenes have gotten images to go along with them. I'm also working on a custom soundtrack for the game, at the very least some background music to help it feel less empty. V 0.1.1 - Bug fixing update.

I've released a new version of Lab Rats that resolves a number of minor bugs and makes a few minor modifications.

Change Log (v0.1.1)

- Fixed error with cafeteria scene with Alexia that was preventing progress for one scene.

- Cafe option with Alexia now removes money as intended.

- Cost of option to get Stephanie a drink made clearer.

- Fixed display issue showing Nora in the lab over Stephanie. Also moved image timings to match with dialog better.

Alternative Lily Outfits

As develpment chugs along I'vethought about using different outfits for characters as your influence over them increases. The extra work required to make sure the outfits match the scene descriptions has kept me away for now, but it may be possible in the future if I have enough time. Here are two alternative outfits I made up for Lily a little earlier on in development.
