YouTube is a very different form of social media than Instagram and Tik Tok.
I actually think YouTube is the most flexible algorithm for independent music artists like yourself because it functions on a long-term growth strategy that is not going to give you immediate impressions.
The notion that you need to make music videos to grow an audience on YouTube is hilariously outdated! Music videos are awesome to create, but there are so many ways to connect with people and grow your a...

Imagine a famous major-label artist is sitting right next you.
She starts singing an awesome new melody hook and leans over to you.
"Can we put music to this? I don't know what key I'm in though..."
Now be honest, what would happen to you in that situation?
For the majority of aspiring music producers, the mere thought of having to place chords on top of a melody feels impossible.
But the reality is, with good music lessons that show you HOW to solve this problem...

If a singer sat next to you in the studio and started singing a melody hook, would you be able to match them with a beautiful chord progression?
THIS is one of the most essential skills that I can tell from experience, gets you hired to be a music producer for an artist.
Most harmonization or reharmonization tutorials on the internet are completely bogged down with music theory.
This lesson runs through everything with 2 simple, intuitive diatonic approaches (diatonic means ...

There are 4 specific techniques and this video covers all of them, along with a a bunch of MIDI/Audio samples that you can drag-and-drop into your DAW.

In a previous tutorial, we've tackled Vocal EQ as a topic where we typically cut lower midrange frequencies to produce a brighter, more clear sound.
While that is typical, this lesson focuses on the opposite idea, when your vocal is too bright or too "harsh" sounding.

I first started teaching music production during the Covid19 lockdowns almost 5 years ago...
There are 2 Main Challenges I see all the time for people who want to produce their music.
1. They don't like the sound of their voice (and don't know how to fix it)
2. They can't play keyboards, so making music is a very slow process
A lot of the content I make here on Patreon is to address these 2 problems head on...

Key takeaways:
Auto-tune only works with the correct key signature
Your song may not be in a major key, many popular chord progressions in songwriting are actually Mixolydian and many minor key songs are really in Dorian (also Phrygian and Harmonic Minor)
Auto-tune speed matters - 100 ms and above produces a slower speed and prevents the un-natural "wiggle" sound. Other parameters matter too.
"Spot" editing through Melodyne is key to a professional sound. Pitch modulat...
