Getting some push from the actors to mount an IMDB page for "The New Gospel". I have several IMDB pages for my films, and only make new ones when either the film warrants it, or I can come up with a good poster. Really, more the latter than anything else.
So, I'm struggling now to come up with a good poster. I'm working on it.

Starting a new film today, and I'm at stage one of production: casting. I placed a casting notice this morning, and I have already sent the script out to 4 interested actresses. The film contains nudity, which they're all aware of, and once they've read the script I'll see who's still interested.
(A quick note - writing the script and plotting shooting/lighting is considered pre-production for me. That I did last week).

Those of you who received season eleven got to see my sequel to "The Dark Coat". In it I had to draw in two different styles - the style of a child and of an adult. Well, in the upcoming "The Empty World" I had to try and mimic the styles of a comic book artist.
I haven't done this much drawing in over a decade, really. Almost makes me want to go back to sketching.

People always ask how a writer comes up with their ideas. For me, it's always right before I go to bed at a decent hour. It keeps me up until I've finished writing it - usually about 3am - and finally lets me go.

"The Knocking" tells the story of a med student whose downstairs neighbor, a mysterious Lithuanian man, dies. Possibly.
The idea for this arose from my desire to do a sort of old-fashioned haunted house mystery, set in a modern apartment complex. I used the exterior of a very famous and ornate building in downtown Chicago which has an almost gothic look to it.

A man is stalked by an unknown texter who harasses him with images hacked from his phone. "Waiting For You" is a film I shot using mostly emoji's. As an experiment, I really like it. That was the phase I was in at that time - experimenting with expanding how to tell a horror film rather than the straight, linear method.
I often try and stretch my limits - whether with format, subgenres (like my giallo phase), or even writing styles. Keeps the films interesting to both me and my audience...

That's how many new, never before seen short films are in season eleven. One of which is the sequel to "Bzr", and another is the sequel to "The Dark Coat."
Between seasons is when I have my movies-of-the-month. And though I don't have a movie-of-the-month every month, I can tell you right now there will be one for November.

Yesterday I worked with this actress. Breanna. We were shooting and wrapped, gave each other a good-bye hug, and Breanna stepped out the door. Right then I remembered I'd left out a shot, and told her I'll just have to get it next time. But Brea turned around, came back in, undressed and did the shot. She's so great to work with. A real champ.

Season Eleven will mean supporters will, over a span of 11 months, have a total of 89 movies available to watch! (Season one offers 9 rather than the usual 8 movies)
In mid September I'll have a list of all the movies that will comprise the season. Some old, some movies of the month, and of course a couple of new ones.
There will be a season 12 down the line, marking a full years worth of seasons for supporters to view.
I'm curious to see what I'll do after that.

Don't forget that movies of the month, when offered, are featured at the $10 level. There is a movie of the month in addition to the regular season nearly every month. Exceptions are when a new season premieres, and on those occasions where for whatever reason, I was not able to do one.
Seasons are what I offer, and the movie of the month grew out of me wanting to offer an occasional tease to supporters on what the new season will offer.

This was shoot the week past. "Tenebrous" is a film done with a touch of the Giallo sensibility. Returning favorite Alex co-stars with my new lead Tom who does an amazing job as Fletcher "Fletch" Haroldson, a recovering substance abuser on a suicide helpline.
And yes, this film is the sequel to "Bzr"!
This is a film with maybe an October release. Too early to tell. Currently I'm in editing.

As I shoot horror films, October is a month where I always carefully consider what films I'll feature. I'm zeroing in on the above mentioned film as my October movie-of-the-month.
My filmmaking goes through phases, and I'm starting to get into a giallo film phase. Tenebrous is one of three (possibly four) giallo movies I'm working on. It contains all the giallo tropes - a killer, a bit of a mystery, black leather gloves, and, of course, a beautiful naked woman.

Rylie came out for her first shoot with me on the film 'The Places That I've Been'. And she was terrific! A real joy to work with. I think you'll like her from the first scene.
