Modeus Update

With the help of my lovely friend Ray (@KeylligraphyInk on twitter and KeyInk as a mod on our discord) I have given Modeus a bit of a touch up for the relaunch. 

Especially for later episodes, I was having a really hard time drawing Modeus in certain poses because elements of his design were lot letting it happen in a realistic and organic way. So this was basically a break down of how he moves and allowing it to be easier for me to draw him in more dynamic poses. His armor follows...

Hello February!

Hello to old patrons and new! Got some fun stuff planned for this month that I am excited to show you - in the mean time, have another spicy Norrix. 

I will get around to doing the Pinups I have planned, but Norrix is usually my go-to when I need to sketch and warm-up, <3 Really should just start a series called "Norrix-in-puffy-shirts-and-blushy poses" 

Possible VDay Sketch

This started off as just a cute couple sketch of these two - but then I remembered Valentines Day will be coming up and am thinking about making this into a VDay image to share with everyone <3 

Even after all this time, drawing Modeus leaves me utterly confuzzled. Drawing him is a challenge at times.

Prints!

While in reproduction I will also be taking the time to work on some official prints. But I want to keep you all involved through the process to make sure I am creating pieces that you might be interested in buying! For now I'm just focusing on individual characters and wanted put on who you would be interested in purchasing a print of first.

(Keep in mind that I will be making prints of all these sweeties, but this poll will help me make the priority list!)

Norrix Costume Redesign

Norrix's costume rework is by far one of the things I am most proud of with my relaunch work. I had a ton of fun playing around with the idea of a mage's uniform and may have gone more theatrical with it. I'm excited to show off his other outfits later as well - he has a skill for fashion.

Kirsi and Lucia Dresses

I know I've already shown Lucia's new dress but wanted to place Kirsi and her updated dress next to her. Obviously there will be MANY more dresses for these two but I have specific reasons for these two being the first.

Kirsi's new dress is elegant and a simple nude color. I wish I could draw these dresses into existence for me to wear.

Discord Server is Up!

Hey all!

The official "Suitor Armor" Discord server is now up and running! Pardon if it is a bit baron at the moment, I am still working it out - but if you are a patron it should already be allowing you access and assigning you to the role of Squires.

Rough sketch for a rough week

It has been a really rough week and a rough New Year. A family friend committed suicide over the weekend and me and my family have been really hurting. I'm still in the healing process but also need to keep moving forward and working. Drawing my gal Lucia is always calming.

Happy Belated New Year!

My apologies for the radio silence - a lot of what I'm drawing at the moment is actual episode stuff which I can't be posting. But I'll be posting some more concepts and sketches here soon now that we have finalized some stuff.

So in the mean time here is a small shot showing some of the style and coloring changes from Canvas to Original. My hand hurts like the dickens but I am very excited for when you all get to read it <3

Discord Under Construction

Kirsi Dresses

Happy Holidays all! Sorry for the lack of posting this month - the holidays on top of story editing for "Suitor Armor" really monopolized my time. 

We have agreed on a dress shape for Kirsi but the colors are still up in the air. So I went a few different fun directions. The cool thing is I can still bookmark the colors and patterns we don's use for this dress to use on later one.

Reimund Rework

No quite official just yet as I need to send it off for approval, but we are getting close to finishing up Reimund! I decided to keep his hair the way it was and mess with his proportions instead. I also mixed the colors around on his outfit and made some minor adjustments. I am starting to feel a lot happier with all of these edits <3  

Reimund Hair Redesign

Hello all! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

More redesigns for the relaunch, this time exploring Reimund's hair. I felt like the hair (or beard rather) made him look older than he was so I am exploring some other styles and lengths and all that jazz. Although I do plan on keeping his hair long. Long hair on dudes is a weakness of mine <3

Lucia's New Dress

And here we are! Turns out the majority of you liked the ones my editors did as well! I am really happy with how this turned out and am also happy I got to keep her in her original blues. But here is another image with some color variations that I placed next to Modeus to see how the colors played against each others. 

Kirsi Dress Redesign

That is right, our Queen-to-be is getting a dress rework as well. Up until now I was cramming "Suitor Armor" in with other work, but now that it is my full time job I am able to dedicate more time to the costume design and overall look and was NOT at all happy with Kirsi's dress. It is harder to come up with designs for her because, as a future Queen, she has ENDLESS options. Regardless, I am sure she will look good in anything she puts on.

I am sorry that I don't have a fun doodle for this - working on the relaunch for "Suitor Armor" is taking up all my time at the moment. Knave and I are still moving in, so it is a weird combo of getting stuff out of storage, assembling furniture, and drawing a romance between a girl and suit of armor.

Lucia Dress Redesign

And here we go! Pre-production for "Suitor Armor" has begun!

One of the first notes I had to address was Lucia's dress. I got lots of comparison's to Merida from Brave and I want to make sure all the costumes I design for these characters are unique! Warm colors look great on her but I did experiment with the blues she was originally in because she looks good in that too. 

This whole process feels like I'm playing Barbie dolls <3

CONFESSION TIME!

SO! I may have been holding back the MAIN reason as to why there have been no current "Suitor Armor" updates. A month ago I was contact by Webtoon and extended the invitation to have "Suitor Armor" become a Webtoon Original!

Norrix Costume Revisit

So when it comes to the Mage's in the world of Suitor Armor, I wanted to have some repeating shapes and ideas in their "uniforms" besides the symbol they wear. Norrix's costume is something I wanted to go back to so these are some of the ideas I cooked up and plan on utilizing. Suitor Armor Discord

Lucia Dresses

I have a LOT of different dress ideas saved for different scenes. ENDLESS number of dresses. I'm creating a kind of "catalog" for each character with all the different costuming ideas I have for later use or edits. So here are a few finished dresses for Lucia, as well as a little hair exploration for her as well.
