True Angel (DxD/ Overlord): Chapter 51

“Hm. How interesting.”

Euclid Lucifuge gave a confused look to his master, who was staring with intrigue at the latest report they received from their agents across the world.

“My Lord?”

“Hm?”

“Are you not angry? The heavens, and that angel called Aetherion, have been causing a lot of problems for your plans for some time now. Maybe we should do something about it?”

“Hahaha! No need, Euclid.”

“Hm. I must say, the spellwork in this thing is really impressive. No wonder nobody was able to crack this thing’s code for so long.”

Michael chuckled at my words as I continued observing the Evil Piece in my hand with my magic and the System’s power.

“Well, Ajuka Beelzebub-“

“Astaroth. Don’t use that stupid title of theirs, please.”

“-Astaroth, then, is considered the greatest genius of devil history. So, it is no surprise that he was able to creat...

Amaterasu stared with pure terror as the Angel spread his full twelve wings and held aloft the anomalous lance in his hand, intending to sunder all of Takamagahara along with her and her brother.

His form shimmered and flowed, as if his body would turn into pure energy at any moment, similar to how a God would attain their true form.

And for a split second, she saw it.

A humanoid being made of pure energy with twelve wings extending like tendri...

Underworld. Lilith.

Within a secret meeting place within the Bael territory, a lot of noise rang out as the various family heads of the 72 pillars bickered among themselves.

The members of the Great King Faction argued among themselves about the recent developments that had happened in the past few months, pointing fingers and insulting those who were no longer present.

Zekram Bael, however, watched on the spectacle with a neutral look for some time...

Yasaka the Kyuubi sat nervously as the powerful Angel in front of her took a dignified sip from his tea cup.

His twelve wings tucked away and out of sight, yet his holy energy’s sheer pressure still felt by her despite its heavy suppression by its wielder.

For it is in her nature to feel things that others cannot, not even her fellow kyuubi.

It was this power that she was born with, and a few other things that had burdened her with the task of becoming the ruler of Kyoto b...

Lord Belial sat by his wife's side, drinking the tea given to him by the young man who had stolen his beloved niece from him.

Truth be told, the old devil did not like Masaomi. Not one bit.

Putting aside his profession, which was the literal antithesis of a devil like him, even if he were a regular human, Lord Belial would still have hated Masaomi's guts. Simply because he made Cleria fall in love with him.

However, since things had already happened, there was nothing he ...

Vatican City.

A little girl who was probably 9 or 10 years old stood nervously in front of the huge man wearing the church’s robes.

Her emerald green eyes stared with curiosity and nervousness as the man with a gentle smile bent down to speak with her, while the nun who ran the church where the girl grew up looked very proud of the girl, even though the older woman felt worried for the girl as well.

As someone who had left behind Vatican City a lo...

Within a rather luxurious fortress made at the edge of the town and concealed with invisibility spells, three of the four Satans sat in front of the three Angels while their subordinates stood to the side.

Sitting in my room in the Nephelim institute, I read through the documents that Masaomi sent through from the Vatican to my laptop while I still had him on call.

“How sure are you about the authenticity of this information?”

“Very sure, My Lord. I was personally invited by this so-called Khaos Brigade because of my relationship with Cleria.”

I raised an eyebrow at those seething words.

“Alright, let’s see here.”

I ‘watched’ the coding of the System core, continuously updating and refining it to work exactly what I wanted it to, which was much harder than it would seem.

As a metaphysical system that worked by siphoning energy from the Dimensional Gap, refining it through a physical being’s soul, and then turning it into Holy Energy and Light through the power of Faith, it is a masterpiece of magic that defies comprehension.

Truthfully, I doubt I...

The sheer weight of divinity within was so overwhelming that I had to push my Light energy to the maximum, pushing against the formless essence that wanted to invade my body.

Listening to everything that happened to Tobio Ikuse, his group, and how my angels acted in the ‘last fight’ against someone called Hanezu Himejima, I did not know if I should laugh or cry.

On one hand, listening to the grand speeches that my angels gave in that fight, I felt like laughing at those grand words.

I expected a dangerous fight, which my Level 80 Cherubim Gatekeepers and level 90 Seraph Empyrean were being hard-pressed to handle (and isn’t that a spooky thought? Those guys are my core strength in a Raid and are excellent tanks and aggro magnets in PvE areas. Even in PvP, they serve well to do damage to the enemy players from multiple directions).

Author notes:

So, I have noticed that a lot of people are confused about how the Overlord mechanics are a bit different from canon and how things seem to be going in a strange direction.

First of all, the Overlord mechanics have not been expanded upon that much by the original authors, except for what Momonga speaks about, so I have taken a few liberties. I will admit that there were a few mistakes (like with the Wish upon a Star spell) wh...
