Today the speedy bird, the hectatrex launches! And if like me you checked out the second season of Prehistoric Planet, you can imagine this plains running feathered fiend chasing down prey like those beautifully long feathered raptors did in...nearly every episode.
The speculative evolution behind this one is base it from the genus of a Secretary Bird, their long legs and quick moving body was a great starting point to design this creature.

Hey everyone!
Thanks to all those who voted I have here an early preview of the cave dwelling arthropod, the Acrynn.
This blind beast crawls along in the darkened caves beneath Sol'Kesh, narrowing in on prey with its sensitive echolocating antennae and then pounces for the kill.
Expect to see its release for the first of July, it'll see you then! or...blindly sense you then...

This scaly dog-sized lizard was made as an answer to not having enough creatures in Sol'Kesh that shoots at the players. So soon enough you can imagine walking through the woods, wind blowing through the leaves, bird song accompanying your peaceful trail.... till with one of these lizards high up in the branches launch a stream of blinding venom your way.

I got to say Patreon's been doing wonders for me to just create, having the two creature releases a month and weekly Wayward sketches has given me reason to just keep drawing creatures and I love it.
So to keep at it, here's a bug! I've added this little scale chart that I think I'm going to add to the creatures in the bestiary PDF as well since Medium/Large from DnD isn't exact enough for all you speculative evolutionary loving enthusiasts.

Hey everyone!
Took a bit of a creature break to work on some environment paintings for the book, here's a preview of some of the descriptions that go with the areas I posted on the island map.
I'm going to aim for 2 environments per environment type. I think my next will be something more unique with the Coral Strands (exposed coral reefs) but first, off to go prepare the basilospri that releases in 6 days!
Well well well, giant bugs rise to the top again. I can't say I'm surprised, but I can say I'm excited to now prepare this big round boy. Thanks everyone for voting, 30 votes! new democracy record!
So now it's just to think about what kind of craftable item to make from this armored insect. Perhaps something with the horns... comment here or on discord if you have any ideas! As always I'm open to all the crazy things you all brew up.
