On July 18th 2019, an arson attack at the studio Kyoto Animation (“KyoAni”) killed 36 people and injured 34 more. Three years later, its influence continues to be felt. Those who perished in the attack are no longer here. Survivors were injured, traumatized, and scarred. Some left the studio to pursue work elsewhere.
