It took twenty minutes to find the core. I would have found it much sooner, except that Laurant was the one to check the throne and he insisted that there was nothing there. When I checked the throne, the core was obvious. A large circular jewel embedded in the back. As soon as I touched it I received the prompt I had been waiting for.

The Quest Giver is a LitRPG told from a unique view point. The NPC.

I am rather proud of how this one turned out. It began with a very simple opening line, "It was a lovely day to die." It was meant to be a rather simple story of a man who was dying and decided to take his end into his own hands rather than suffer through the agony that his disease would put him through.
