Hey everyone!

I made a new ad for my Rigging Guide using Harmony which took me 2 days to make from start to finish, literally doing everything- writing, voicing, recording, animating and editing.

I wanted to try and experiment with a look that emulated real-world media and replicate the kind of cartoons that were shown in the mid 70's.

It was fun to do, and, though I knew I could do it, I learned quite a bit about the process for future projects.

It’s an Epic!

Almost ALMOST finished Chapter 2.

Just a couple more How-tos from Bon Bon and then proof reading, contents page revision and it’s done.

It’s an epic.

Much bigger chapter than the first.

I’ve put much more into it since I finished chapter one.

The new stuff includes

• Constrainer usage

And I’m sure there’s more but I’m too tired...

Guide Chapter Two Update

Wow!

In just 10 days I’ve got so many new Patrons! Thanks so much for the much needed donations!

The Harmony guide.

Since I wasn’t happy with how I explained how the Peg/Drawing system in Harmony works, I illustrated the guide to show the Peg/Drawing system- Thanks for the suggestions @mr_s_henderson of twitter ;-)

Got to write how IK can be achieved, and how you separate MC elements in the timeline.

I’ve also got to put all the remaining pictures into the mix- a third left to do.

Harmony Guide update

Hi everybody! Hope you all had a great Christmas. I‘m full steam ahead with the guide now that the COPPA situation is more organised.

I’ve been uploading most of my work into Newgrounds, and since the limit is 2 videos a day, I should be finished fairly soon.

Rigging Guide Update

I can’t deny, this has become a bit of a monster! I thought initially it would just be about the odd tip I’ve picked up over the years, but it has now become a proper.... well manual I suppose. On the plus side, I seem to be on top of things finally. Laying things out, I now know where the guide has its strengths and weaknesses so I can refine it where it needs to be refined and hopefully get the thing out to my $5 tier patrons fairly soon.

BUS STOP LIVES!!!

Hi everyone. I’ve been busy getting Bus Stop created for the tutorial book of Toon Boom rigging which I’ve been writing for my patrons. It’s a bit of an epic, particularly since this will also cover the new stack wizard master controller which I had hither-to never before used. Rigging Guide in the works

Last year, while working on Dr Who, I was in the process of writing a guide to rigging which had a large emphasis on Master Controllers.

Since I had too much to do, I had to put it on ice for a while.

Now I know so much about the process and how it affects the workflow, I’ve decided to redraft it and soon make it available to my $5 tier patreon donators.

Almost there with the new Cat Class

This one is an epic. About 15 minutes. And in the pop format has required far more fiddling about than a normal Cat class to create. Should be up in the next few days- thanks for waiting. Once done, I’m going straight on with some fun shorts for the channel. Phew!

Killgar POP! , and what's coming up

Hey guys. The next thing to feature on my channel is gonna be this Killgar ToonBoom POP! Tutorial.

Once that's done, I want to make some shorts for my channel. As I've said on Twitter- I wrote some ColourBANG! scripts as well as Terry & Sandy (characters based on the Xbox Sex Box sketch I wrote years ago.) which I really want to do, and then I'm gonna try and start working on my big project which I've been dying to do for months. 

Question to my patrons.

If I did a live broadcast on a YouTube demonstrating some software etc, would anyone be interested?

The laboratory door creeks open a little...

There’s been rather a lot going on behind the scenes here. Research and Development mainly.
Once I’ve totally nailed this new Toon Boom technique (Most of it is done now) a short animation is due to appear on the channel. The characters are fairly simple to look at, but they have quite extensive innards which hopefully will show onscreen when I make the short in the next few week. I’ve written the script and one of the characters is virtually finished.

What’s happening?

Hello everyone.

Right. Firstly, I want to thank everyone who is donating to the channel. It really is appreciated, and it spurs me on to make new exciting things for it.

Coming up I have plans for Cat Class which will make it a more varied show, sometimes in the style I’ve already made, but more often as a kind of music driven pop video with art going on. You’ll see what I mean very soon.

A tweak, a credit...

Ok, so I’m going alter the Patreon rewards scheme a little bit.
