Newlife 0.4.19 (and an update on my injury)

Hi all, as you probably know, I've been suffering from a trapped nerve - the best information I have on its cause is that it's from a bulging spinal disk, probably due to bad posture while using a computer.

This seems to be on the mend now, but I'm still not 100%. I've had a bit more pain over the last few days than I did last week - probably because I've been spending more time at the PC. It's nowhere near as bad as April, but it's a bit of a warning sign for me to be careful.

Hi all,

I seem to be mending from my injury, perhaps thanks to a physiotherapist I've been seeing. The pain's abated to where I can get a proper night's sleep again. My desk-time is still quite limited (I had to take a break halfway through writing this post!), but it looks like I'm on the right road.

Hi all,

I'm finishing off the next version now - it should be out tomorrow.

After that, I've been feeling a bit burnt out on the wedding stuff so I'm going to take a break from all the marriage/relationships content.

There's a few things planned for this release. Three in fact: telling men you'll stay a virgin until marriage, meeting the groom's family and the baby-crazy trait.

I've started with the first. As part of that, I'm adding a way to give NPCs limitations on what they can do. For now this will be limited to blocking initiating PIV sex, but over time more can get put in there.

Hi all! I've attached Newlife 0.4.17. This has been a bit of a tricky one for me - I'm not sure why but I just had a really hard time wrapping my head around everything that needed to be done for the virginity changes.

Because of this I've left some of them for next release. You do get the virginity-knowledge update and the naked and public-consummation marriage paths.

Next time: "saving it for marriage", and probably something to do with the groom's family.

Another update to 0.4.16

Hi all,

The changes I made for the 0.4.16b release introduced a bug that makes the noisy-baby event fail when the PC is single. I've fixed that for this version.

I've also been investigating an issue some people have had with the relationship browser. At this point I'm fairly confident it isn't a 'pure' Newlife issue but is at least partially affected by something external: probably the Java version. I'll keep looking into it and hopefully the improved error reporting in this vers...

Hi all, I was aiming to get the next version out tonight, but I feel like there's too much left to do and I've got to a point where I'm too tired to write decent content or reliably track down bugs.
