I actually haven't been drawing much aside from like, work and stuff cos arm hurty but now it's just hurting all the time so I decided to just draw. Whatever. Anyway, recently I've been evaluating my art. And my comfort zones. Portraits, minimal shading on the skin but a focus on rendering hair, exploring textures and how to represent them to a degree I find pleasing. Sketchy, textured lineart is something I favor too. This style doesn't take a whole lot of time but it makes me happy.

Before/ After Marriage

I drew a helpful guide of how to tell (when I draw a comic) of if it's before or after the marriage! Some things to note:

-Yso got more piercings and a scar ON her face. Yes it's related to how it is they came to be wed.

-Erina did become paler solely because she was no longer going outside after moving to the palace in Ipsilos.

-idk how it's possible but somehow Ysolde managed to get... even finer?? Idk how that happens.

Yso but with long hair

When Yso was a little younger (16-18) she did have longer hair for whatever reason. Maybe she wanted to feel what that was like. I don't think she liked it v much cos when it finally came time to go to war, WOOSH. Her locks disappeared 🤣

The Way We Once Were

I think that with Erina and Ysolde, they got closer and closer through the months that Ysolde stayed at Windsummer. So close were they, that they would go out to picnics and cuddle and stuff. At first Erina was deeply conflicted about this cos this was not what friends did. But it felt nice and she was at peace so she eventually let it go.

Yso on the other hand, was lowkey sometimes panicking cos she... she was TOUCHING ERINA!!! And Erina WAS LETTING HER TOUCH HER!!! LETTING HER HUG AND...

She REALLY goes out of her way to see everything thru the lens of friendship even tho she knows damn well she doesn't cuddle and let her female friends hold her like the way Yso does 💀

I was just reading comments about how sweet and in-love Yso is. And while that's true, y'all should know by now:

So yes. Yso is a sexy, lovestruck warrior princess with Erina brainrot. But she is also a lot of other darker, scarier things too 👁👁

Moment of Weakness

The very first moment that I think Erina... felt that Yso actually loves her. Like frfr. A moment of weakness on Yso's part. Because idk, everything was perfect. Being in the forest together, Erina existing so happily and naturally in there, eating fruit and running around picking flowers. I think Yso simply couldn't resist hugging her. And In that moment, Erina FELT Yso's feelings. Ah, how beautiful ✨
