"Five...." It would all begin very soon. Theo exhaled slowly and gently, relaxing his mind and his muscles, keeping his attention fixed on Mommy's voice.

Daddy's nose wrinkled as he walked into the nursery to check on his toddler.

"Pee-yew!" he exclaimed with his usual flare for the dramatic. "It sure is stinky in here...."

Mav stared up a Daddy blankly for a brief second before going back to playing with his teddy bear, clearly trying hard to act as though nothing was wrong. The more accustomed Mav had grown to his baby lifestyle, the less willing he had become to have his playtime interrupted for a diaper change.

"Smile for the camera Mr. Mushybottom!" Daddy said with gleeful grin.

Mav turned his head and stared blankly at the camera as Daddy pressed the shutter button. Another one for the baby book. Mav used to hate getting his picture taken when his diaper was obviously full, but after a while he stopped fighting it. Like Daddy always said: Little boys who still poop their pants don't make the rules. Tough to argue with that logic, especially with a pacifier in your mouth

As he rolled over onto his side, his senses came back to him one by one: The large shield of his pacifier pressed firmly against his lips, the fleece onesie tightly hugging his body, the teddy bear resting snugly under his arm, and, of course, the plump diaper wrapped comfortably around his nether regions.
