Fun fact! Originally, the outline only called for Lars to join Greg and Steven in their work out. Me and Paul both thought it would be a good opportunity to include Sadie, especially being that she's female.

Sadie's physicality grew and evolved through out the series. She was originally set to become a Crystal Gem!

Here Spike and Twilight investigate to find King Sombra's Castle via a magical entrance.

For Twilight's vision of her deepest fear, I referenced the staging for Charlie approaching Willy Wonka at the end of the movie. The way Wonka is initially turned with his back toward Charlie is so eerie, I thought it would make Celestia's dialogue ring more coldly to play her the same way toward Twilight.

Spike's vision isn't seen on screen but I got to show how much it affected him thru the ...

When I was working on the show, I was asked to do a Lars and Sadie strip for the Steven Universe Boom comic. Here's a (mostly) finished version.

Lars is so confident he knows the way home, he just leads Sadie in circles. Short and simple, based on a true story Paul told me about leading Rebecca around in the middle of the night when they were friends in college.

"Mr. Meagles" The Gnome Cat

Here's a drawing I made that's seen in my shops: a little character based on my late beloved kitty, Mr. Meowgi.

We called him lots of things, like Meags, Meagle-Mow, Mow Mow Meagle, Mr. Meagles and many others. So... there were a lot of names to choose from for the character without committing copyright infringement.
