December is dying. I'll be back to working on Newt and Demon next Sunday. So, I've got 2 stories out of the 4 I started during December that I'll put up here. I'll do a poll to see which one you guys are interested in.

Friday Chapter (and other things no one asked for)

Well, dang. I forgot the Xol'sa intro arc was so long. We have one more character to introduce before I run a poll for the 3rd tier patrons, which will open to other patrons once we get through the weekly releases. After that, I can write the ending for book 2 and put a pin in it.

A Maddening Process

Class Consultant is missing something. Maybe I'm just in a mood, but I don't think the story is working for me. This is completely normal for my writing process, though. I really have to get in and explore an idea to figure out if it's working (so, sorry if you get a few stubby stories posted here while I experiment).

Class Consultant Foreword

Class Consultant is weird. I'm looking for a plot, but I haven't found one yet. Well, I might have found something, but we'll see.

The purpose of posting CC chapters here is to check interest. I'm not sure if anyone would like this, but I wrote it. A poll asked for it. So, here it is.

The warnings are for violence, alcohol, bad words, strife, etc.

This is running for 3rd tier first, then we'll release it to other tiers as we go.

Well, this is turning into a weird story.

Setting:

Medieval Fantasy LITRPG word (people can see their stats).

Adventuer's guild, imperial army, some people have classes others don't.

System Rules:

The bulk of the population doesn't have access to classes.

People can take as many classes as they want, but classes are hard to come by.

Newt and Demon Map

This is a the sketch I have for the Newt and Demon's map. It is rather simple for what it is, but it's what I have planned out in the world. Iaredin is a fairly small continent. The distance between Broken Tusk and Qavell is roughly 1,000 miles. A mid-level adventurer should be able to cover the distance in a week, assuming their enhanced stats give them supernatural speed and endurance.

Future Projects/Recharging

I'm coming up to the end of writing Newt and Demon 2. I think I've said it here, but if there's break between book 2 and 3 it's going to be minimal. Maybe a week, maybe 2 weeks, but I don't imagine much longer than that.

So, the "Class Consultant" project has been kicking around in my noggin for a while and I've got a pretty good idea on how I want it to be structured. Slice of life elements, comedy, combat, lots of interesting classes to explore. As I'm going through writing that one, ...

Major event for book 3

So, this is a slice of life story. When I normally write, I would have a ton of "major" events happen in each book. Since I'm focusing on crafting and town building, I'm keeping those sudden shifts of tone to a minimum here. I went to look at my notes and the major event for book 2 happens in chapter 29 and 38.

After those revelations come to pass, I'll post a poll here asking what people want to see in book 3. I'm going to write them as vaguely as possible, because spoilers.

Minor Math Problems!

I just went through and compared book 2 values for Theo's stats and compared them against starting stats. After plugging them into some excel formulas, I found a few interesting discrepancies. Theo was missing 3 stat points, which must have been allocated at some point but were missed in my doc.

Well, it's another Friday. Well, I'm writing this on Thursday and publishing it on Thursday but... You know.

I thought it was going to be a challenge to write this week, as I've passed the half-way point in the writing of book 2. Turns out, not really. There's A LOT going on in this book, so it's super easy to pick out the most interesting plot points and put those forward.

N&D Edits

Just a quick update, but I'm going to start on edits for book 1, soon. Once those are done, they will be posted exclusively to Patreon for a long period of time. Well, I sure took a long time getting this story started. Maybe I spent too much time ramping up the characters again. I thought we'd be at a few of the more important plot points by now on the tier 3 release, but hey. What can you do? It's a slice of life story.
