Like, this could be a big hot mess, but.. it could also turn out to be loads of fun?
Also, it looks like it will be poking some meta fun at the kpop industry, which could be amusing too. I do wonder if that means we might get some kpop cameos..? Since this fictional group will exist within the industry..? π

Well, looks like what I'd initially heard about this drama is correct; Lee Sung Kyung's character decides to take revenge for an unspecified wrong that was done to her, and ends up falling for Kim Young Kwang's sweet character in the process.
To my eyes, this looks like it will lean tropey, but.. it could be enjoyable, done right?
I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

E1. I have to admit that my main reason for being curious to check out this show, isn't really the premise, nor the fact that Lee Do Hyun's in this (because I hear that he doesn't really get all that much screen time, in the grand scheme of things).
Mainly, it's because this show has been enjoying quite a good amount of buzz, and my FOMO is kicking in, kinda-sorta in the way it'd kicked in, when Squid Game took the world by storm.

Netflix has a good chunk of Korean drama content up its sleeves for 2023, and here's a quick overview.

Well this seems like one of the worst modern nightmares for the average person?

I'm not super sure what to make of this show, but consider me intrigued.

E1-2. Ok, I like this one right away, just two episodes in. As some of you have said, this really does have Hometown Cha Cha Cha vibes, even though it is very much its own creature.
It's that whole healing experience for a female protagonist in a rural small town vibe.
The main difference that I'm spotting so far, is that Meet Yourself leans more laidback and slice-of-life, while Hometown Cha Cha Cha had a more obviously structured rom-com narrative.

E1. Ahahaha. I liked this, and very well, too. Right away, I'm gonna say, I have a good feeling about this one. π
For the record, I don't feel (yet?) like Show is exactly new or inventive, but so far, I'm enjoying what it's serving up, and that's the more important thing.
