Sucks not having a lot to post, but I'm happy my health's been improving lately. I'm still a bit stressed out about things, but I'll work on that :'3 I'll try to post more frequently, but I've been thinking about posting art on the Discord as soon as I consider it finished as well.

Sorry for the lack of activity! I've been extremely busy lately because of IRL stuff, have a lot more responsabilities around the house now. I didn't really feel like I had quite enough to post a proper pack until now.

So a bunch stuff piled up, comms and personal, and random warm-up doodles too. Haven't been feeling super comfortable using CSP or Sai 2 so I wanna try using Sai 1 for a bit. A lot of people meme on it, but I really prefer the way it feels in comparison.

Last one for the year :'3 I was really inconsistent this year and I'm really sorry, I'm gonna try to post weekly no matter what from now on. Like even if I don't have anything, I'd rather just post a text update than nothing at all. 

Some comms and some Chika "studies"(?). Just went over a history of her design, I do feel like drawing her older designs sometimes so I just wanted to revisit them as a whole.

Ooowee. Guess who ended up getting sick :'3 Lots of doodles/sketches, messing around with proportions and stuff since I had to take a bit of a break because of the sickness. Some rough stuff but I feel like I'm on the right track overall.

Buncha sketches, couple comms, some attempts at doing different stuff (namely the Curly one). Really sorry for skipping a couple of weeks, I worry a lot that I don't have enough content for a pack so I just keep drawing and then it's been another week. Gonna try to stop that and just go back to posting weekly. I also wanna figure out a way to simplify my process because I tend to lose a lot of time with the way I do things. Maybe just change to simpler brushes.

Bit late but I didn't wanna miss this week. Been messing around with brushes, as usual. For some reason I'm always changing brushes. I really like CSP's default Real G-Pen tho it's nice and crispy .3. Also trying to streamline my process a little and taking notes since I tend to forget things lol (I'm p sure I've said both the brushes and streamlining things before, it's not deja vu)

So for some reason I decided to make a height chart for my characters. It was a good study, to a certain point, but I don't think most of the designs would be final. It's not even all of the characters, I realized after the fact. But it got me in the mood to work more on that project.

I also picked up pixel art overnight to draw a cityscape. Really amateurish but it was an interesting experience.

Been trying to use a brush I find more comfortable, I don't think it'll be everyone's...favorite? But it just feels nice to use for sketching. 

I wanted to finish more of those roughs/doodles but I hurt my thumb a few days ago and I haven't been able to draw since I'm a bit of a bitch :'3

Still working really slowly, just having issues liking how things come out the first couple of times so I just end up redoing everything from scratch and I really need to work on that :'3 

2022-04 Stumbling into the New Year

My most sincere apologies for not posting at all throughout January. I really wanted to post this one a little earlier so that it would still be January but I just wasn't able to finish that Chika pic on time. Arguably it's still the 31st somewhere, but as far as I'm concerned I missed that deadline.

As to where I've been through late December and most of January, I was in a bit of a forced vacation. Mostly via anxiety, some art block and a bit of family interruptions. Thankful...

Turns out I wasn't feeling super confident after last pack :'3 Kept working on studies and I'm feeling better now, knock on wood.
Don't really like posting what I do for the studies but parts of it are in the "random sketches" file. It sometimes feels like I just straight up forget how to draw or maybe I'm just feeling a little burnt out. Studies supposedly help with latter and they definitely help with former so I've been leaning on them hard lol
