My quest for optimal health for me and the people I work with has brought me more and more into the realm of root cause medicine as well as avoiding just treating symptoms. Much of the medical field is about treating a symptom.

I am pretty sure my auto mechanic brother wouldn’t appreciate me putting a band-aid over my oil light warning. But that’s what we do with our health…..mental, physical, spiritual….all of it.

I don’t know about you, but it seems more obvious to me as either time goes by, or as I get older, that the spiritual battle going on is so much more apparent.

Whether we have eyes to see it or not, doesn’t really matter. The war between  good and evil is happening and is actually more real than the flesh and blood stuff we see with our eyes every day.

My friend has had some curiously long battles with health with her kids. Sometimes it just makes you wonder. The interesting thing that she points out often is that they receive lots of reports, lab results, diagnoses……but the actual manifestation of these health issues doesn’t usually amount to the fearful prognosis.

It is so interesting to me how people were so jazzed recognizing that Jesus was King on Palm Sunday that they shouted and waved Palm Branches.

5 days later they were yelling Crucify Him! Why? Because He wasn't the King they thought He was going to be. They wanted someone who was going to do things that earthly Kings do. But Jesus knew His mission was to be the King who saved us from ourselves, death and the evil of the world.

His way saves us for eternit...

Good morning!

Where our energy goes, we will reinforce tracks in our minds. Those tracks in our minds could be productive and good or they could be old tracks that don’t benefit us at all.

Even the fighting so hard against bad habits can put more energy onto those old tracks and cause us to actually light them up more! The more you fire those neurons, the more they are strengthened.
