Question of the day:

how do we dehumanize another person?

I will go first: I think it’s when we reduce someone down to one thing/one aspect of them/see them superficially

how do we humanize another person?

I would say to look at them as our Creator sees them- all of who they are

What do you say?

We were made to be addicted….our neurochemicals in our brains are driven to survival, pleasure, escaping pain, and many other deeper aspects of what drives our behaviors.

was rockin out while I ran this morning to this song:

If I told you my story
You would hear Hope that wouldn't let go
And if I told you my story
You would hear Love that never gave up
And if I told you my story
You would hear Life, but it wasn't mine

If I should speak then let it be
Of the grace that is greater than all my sin
Of when justice was served and where mercy wins
Of the kindness of Jesus that draws me in

We follow One who stood and wept at the grave of Lazarus – not surely because He was grieved that Mary and Martha wept, and sorrowed for their lack of faith (though some thus interpret), but because death, the punishment of sin, is even more horrible in His eyes than in ours.β€œ
