I meant to do this yesterday but got caught up in some, uh, autistic obsessive shit.

Last week was not what I wanted it to be, sadly, though I understand where my issue comes from at the moment and am working on it!

So this week a few things are happening.

I'm starting work on The New Girl's fourteenth chapter, for release as soon as it's done. About 1k per day is what I'm aiming for, so some time from the 20th onwards most likely.

Irina Blackwell's ninth chapter will follow this, and once The New Girl is out I'll run a poll for the story to follow Irina.

There has been a magical transition within me, clearly, and what I posted on Monday has rung true. I've managed at least 7.5k words a day for the past four days, with 9.5k on Tuesday, and honestly this is a slightly more intense week than I'm going to have moving forwards because I've had a bit of a backlog!

I'm...hopeful. At the end of last week I not only got solid writing done but was also very happy and engaged while doing it. I feel as though I'm processing along a bit more healthily.

A Much-Needed Update

Hey friends,

Sorry for the radio silence, it wasn't intentional. I was hoping to get both Sephalla and the New Girl out this month, one early and the other later, but time has slipped rapidly away from me.

I've not been able to work at the rate I'd like, but it feels like I'm still "spooling up" as it were, which fills me with hope. I've not managed a single weekly release of a paid story, there's still a kind of looming amazement that I was able to put out as much as I did!

December/January - Pausing Billing

Hey friends,

I didn't really want to do this but I don't seem to be getting better.

Honestly, I think I massively overestimated my capacity to do so much - I had been doing two paid releases (9-12k words), a free release (6.5-11k) words, 1-2 commission pieces (10k+ words x2), and an extra however many words towards monthly things, "backburner releases", etc, each week. Plus editing time!
