He groaned as he pulled himself from the wreckage. There were so many wood splinters in his skin, and he even found himself completely impaled by a branch the size of his arm.
“Rude,” he muttered, looking up at the sky where he had fallen.
Thankfully, he was able to siphon a lot of the force from his fall before he hit the tree, but that still didn't mean he was able to nullify everything. Despite his best efforts, he hit it with enough force that it hurt like a bitch.

It was amazing how well this technique worked. It gave him so much space to fight. Dealing with the trolls when he wasn’t being harassed by all sides was much easier. They didn’t stand a chance and were quickly dispatched by him.

He lowered his natural defenses just a bit. He wanted to see how this fog affected his body and what its purpose was. The moment he did, he was able to feel the fog seep into his skin, deep into his pores. Then it began to eat away at his mana.
