New workstation now (partially) operational!

TL;DR: new computer!

I've been really busy moving EVERYTHING from my old Macintosh to my new Windows PC. I dunno how much you guys are familiar with Macs, but you can guess it means I've had to spend literal DAYS familiarizing myself with a new operating system, configuring preferences, downloading applications, and reorganizing my files. I'm still not done but the bulk of it's out of the way now so you can start to expect my daily art streams again.

Holy guacamole I've been busy setting up my fancy new computer for VR and fun times and getting used to Windows! Next I gotta start moving my art workspace over. It's been a lot of work but it'll be worth it!

Lucky Fun Commission Slots!

May 2022 High-Res

May was full of virtual reality distractions and blender studies! I've been exploring and going to parties and making new friends in VR Chat, and now I want to make a Lucky avatar so I gotta learn 3D sculpting. Turns out sculpting 3D anatomy is really good practice and actually improves my 2D skills as well. Next month I'll calm down a little and get back to arting like normal.

Glowy Luck Bust High-Res

I animated the Lucky icon for Discord and wanted to show it off in High-Res cause it's so pretty!

For lighting reference I took a stock chihuahua in Blender and rotated a light around it taking screenshots. The end result is a little garish in high-res because I find tiny icons look better when the full-size version's got sharper contrasts.

Sheep Animation WIP

I started an animation last month but haven't finished it yet. It's gonna be a music video! A funny one! With sheep!!

I ain't tellin ya which song it's going to yet cause that's too much of a spoiler, but it's one of my faves. Lucky Character Sheet p3 wip

Lucky hanging out with all kinds of sexy buddies! I'm getting carried away, and the NSFW page of Luck's character sheet might end up being two pages long.

In the meantime here's lots of fans! I changed my mind about doing pwyw commission slots and am just pulling random characters from fans instead, with varying degrees of permission.

I've organized things better. Now my high-res image dump includes sketchbook art and commissions that I haven't bothered to post anywhere else. Patrons get exclusive access to all my scribbly stuff! And I have an easier time keeping track of all my stuff.

February "Study Buddy" Commission Slots Open!

Okay so some of you have probably noticed I'm starting to buckle down and study anatomy. Well, next month I'm bumping that up a notch! I'll be learning all the bones and muscles for human and animal anatomy and grind their names and features into my brain until I know them intuitively. For a while a lot of my art's gonna be ugly sketches while I experiment and learn, but that's just a necessary step in learning!

January Plans

My focus for this month is housekeeping! I plan to add animated icons, banners, and emojis to Discord and just basically update things.

This means I'll subscribe to Discord's "boosts" system so that The Lucky J Fan Club will be pretty for good. I'm gonna make animated icons before I do that though. I'll also make new Lucky emojis and stuff. Small improvements but they make my Discord look cool, and my Discord IS cool so I want its looks to match.
