'Titanic' Pole Archery Shot

I filmed this for a video I'm hoping to release in a couple of weeks (I'll be away so I need some advance prep), and I don't think I've talked about this move before.

This is 'Titanic'. On paper it's not the hardest pole trick I can do, but unlike a lot of the harder ones, it's much more about technique than strength or speed. It takes careful positioning of the legs to make sure you have some grip down the right leg and on the left thigh and glutes, and you have to actively engage both...

Some of you expressed an interest in more pole content, and some of you wanted to see new trick shots, so here's a new pole trick shot that I've started working on, as well as some of the thoughts behind it. Watch this space!

Legend of Zelda Pole Routine (1st draft)

The results of the last Poll convinced me to try working through some pole archery stuff again, and since Legend of Zelda has been on my mind recently (mainly due to the fact that I want to play the new one, but don't own a switch), I started knocking a routine together to the Gerudo Valley theme from OoT.

This was largely improvised, and even if I overlaid the music to avoid the echo, I don't think I'm going to post it without some more refining, but it seems like a decent opportunity ...

More Pole Training

Just a couple of moves, and a note on the difference between stage and studio poles.

I love messing about with my stage pole, but give me a proper competition-standard pole, 4m high, mounted floor and ceiling, and that's when the real fun stuff comes out!

Pole training!

Some of you wanted to see some more pole stuff, and the weather was nice, so I filmed a bit of training both with and without the bow.

I almost didn't post this because I'm not at what I consider to be performance levels of fitness/ muscle tone, but then I figured those brain weasels can get stuffed!

I'm hoping for some warmer weather soon, which should give me some opportunity to do some more interesting stuff.

In the meantime, I've got a couple of videos that are basically just me chatting (read: rambling) while I train some different shooting styles.

(There's some genuine info in there, but they're less structured and there's more time dedicated to just shooting than my normal videos)
